Prediction II: The PUMA Prediction- McCain/Palin 307 : Obama/Biden 231
November 3, 2008 by PUMA Pundit · 14 Comments
Alrighty then, here is my prediction for this Presidential election:

Right now, I know most polls point to the fact that the following states are going to go Obama or are toss-ups, I think they will all end up in the McCain/Palin column by the time this election is over:
Nevada- Present Status: Toss-Up
In 2000, Nevada went Red by a margin of 3.55%
In 2004, Nevada went Red again by a margin of 2.59%
In 2008, going into the Primary Caucus, Hillary was leading with anywhere from 3% to 9%. Nevada had one of the most divisive primaries in the nation, with lawsuits being used to fight a proxy battle between Hillary’s supporters and Obama’s supporters.
If there is a state where there are lots of PUMAs, it is this one.
The fact that the state has voted Republican in the last two elections, the fact that the state borders Utah which is heavily Republican, and the fact that it has a large percentage of PUMAs, indicates it would go McCain/Palin tomorrow.
Colorado- Present Status: Toss-Up
In 2000, Colorado went Red by a margin of 8.36%
In 2004, Colorado, went Red by a margin of 4.67%
In 2008, at the Colorado Caucus, going in, Obama had a 2% lead in the polls, when all was said and done, Obama won the Caucus by a margin of 2:1. PUMAs don’t get mad, we get even.
The historical tendency of this state to go Red, and the number of PUMAs that are waiting for a chance to finally have their voices heard shall put this state in the McCain/Palin column.
New Mexico- Present Status: Toss-Up
In 2000, New Mexico went Blue by a margin of 0.06%
In 2004, New Mexico went Red by a margin of 0.79%
In 2008, Hillary won the New Mexico primary. Going into the general election, Barack Obama has to contend with voters who are literally split down the middle, add the PUMA factor and the odds are stacked against him. In 2000, Gore won the state by less than 400 votes, in 2004, Bush won that state by about 7,000 votes. To win in 2008, Obama would have to nullify Bush’s margin of victory, and also carry all 73,105 Hillary voters.
It is possible but improbable for Obama to achieve this feat, as at a bare minimum 10% of Hillary’s vote has gone PUMA. Consequently, expect New Mexico to be in the McCain/Palin column.
Iowa- Present Status: Obama
In 2000, Iowa went Blue by a margin of 0.31%
In 2004, Iowa went Red by a margin of 0.67%
In 2008, Barack Obama won the Iowa Caucus. But, guess what? From all indications, a lot of those who voted for him were bused in from Eastern Illinois. In 2000, Gore won Iowa by less than 6,000 votes, in 2004, Bush won Iowa by about 10,000 votes.
To win Iowa in 2008, Barack Obama must not only nullify Bush’s margin of victory, but also ensure that in Iowa there aren’t at least 10,000 PUMAs. Again, this scenario is possible, but extremely improbable.
Missouri- Present Status: Toss Up
In 2000, Missouri went Red by a margin of 3.34%,
In 2004, Missouri went Red by a margin 7.20%
In 2008, Barack Obama won Missouri by 10,000 votes, although Hillary won 110 of the 116 counties in the State. It is important to note that in 2004, Bush did 23% better in Missouri’s small town’s than he did in small towns nationally, winning 112 of 113 of them. It is unlikely that this trend shall change significantly in 2008.
Plus MO is PUMA country. As with Iowa and New Mexico, it is possible but highly improbable for Barack Obama to not only eliminate the 7.20% lead George Bush had in 2004, as most of that vote came from rural counties, but also keep all 395,185 votes Hillary got in his column.
This puts Missouri firmly in the McCain/Palin column (remember, as Missouri goes, so goes the nation).
Ohio and Pennsylvania- Present Status: Toss Up
I am not even going to go into historical trends here, just go take a look at what happened in the primaries between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. Hillary won each state by a margin of about 10%.
There is no historical precedent in a centrist society such as ours for a state to overwhelmingly reject a liberal candidate in the primaries in favor of a centrist/moderate one and then reject a centrist/moderate candidate in the general election in favor of a liberal one.
If there are two states which are definitely going McCain/Palin, those states would be Ohio and Pennsylvania. Pssst… those states are actually hotbeds of PUMA activity. Not only do we have offices there, bu PUMAs from other states such as NY have actually been volunteering in PA to boost the efforts of local PUMAs. I actully volunteered in Scranton, PA this weekend, where I met John and Cindy McCain
Just in case you haven’t figured it out already, for the record, these two states are going to be in the McCain/Palin column.
Virginia, North Carolina and Indiana- Present Status: Toss Up
Just like PA and OH, I am not going to go into historical analysis here. However, the same concepts that apply to PA and OH, apply to these 3. Obama won VA and NC as a result of the black vote in the primaries. Hillary won IN despite voter fraud in Lake County that all but eliminated a double digit lead on her part.
Bush won VA by a margin of 8%+ in 2000 and 2004. Bush also won NC by a margin of about 13% in 2000 and 2004 (despite North Carolina Senator, John Edwards being the Demcoratic Vice-Presidential Candidate in that year).
It is possibly, but highly improbable that Obama would carry any of these states in the election. So again, all three can be put in the McCain/Palin category.
Florida- Present Status: Toss Up
Ever heard of Fidel Castro? Ever heard of how Obama disenfranchised Florida during the Primaries? Ever heard of how the military votes? For those three reasons Obama is a non-starter in this state.
Cubans who make up a large percentage of the population there are not going to vote for a man who promises socialism, when they all ran away from another socialist named Fidel Castro. PUMAs, and Florida has many of us, have not forgiven Obama for disenfranchising this state during the primaries, and of course the military families in this state do NOT trust Obama.
As a result this state is firmly going to McCain/Palin.
There you have it folks. Thanks to a combination of factors, Obama being unelectable being one of them, and of course PUMA power at work, tomorrow McCain/Palin shall not only replicate what George Bush did in 2004, but also turn Pennsylvania red!
If there is one thing you are going to take away from all the above, it is that a country does not go from center right to extreme left. Such a change does not happen because of a simple five letter word called P-R-I-D-E! As Americans we still fundamentally believe that the individual and not the government is the driving force of our nation.
The only time America lurched left was in 1932 after the great depression, Americans lost faith in themselves and wanted the state to take care of them. In 2008, as bad as things may be, the vast majority of people still have faith in themselves, they do NOT and will NOT have the government take over their welfare.
This is why Barack Obama’s message of doom, gloom, and the neccessity of having the government step in failed during the primaries, and shall fail at the ballot tomorrow.
God Bless America!

Indiana AG says ACORN involved in multiple criminal violations…
October 27, 2008 by PUMA Pundit · Leave a Comment
Hmmm… The day just gets more interesting as it goes along:
Secretary of State Todd Rokita said Monday that his office has found evidence of “multiple criminal violations, including possible state and federal racketeering laws” in connection with fraudulent voter registration applications filed in Lake County.
Rokita said many registration applications filed by the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, or ACORN, had incomplete information or indications of fraud or forgery.
Lake County, ey? Remember this post?
Either way, the FBI had better get involved pronto, if not, if Obama manages to steal the election, it would be a moot point on November 4th, except if he gets indicted then… hmmmm

Barack Obama, ACORN, and how an army of “Ghost Voters” is being raised…
October 9, 2008 by PUMA Pundit · 17 Comments
The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now or ACORN is an organization which has registered dead people, ghosts, convicted and incarcerated felons, and in a brazen PR move, the entire Dallas (TEXAS) Cowboys starting line-up as Nevada voters.
In doing this it has violated numerous state and federal laws, has had its offices raided by the FBI, and criminal investigations are currently underway against the organization in about a dozen states.
How is Barack Obama linked to this? Well according to an editorial in Investors Business Daily (IBD) how’s this for a start:
ACORN boasts registering a record 1.5 million new voters so far this election.
What does all this have to do with Obama, besides the fact that he’d be the beneficiary of most, if not all, of these new votes?
For starters, Obama paid ACORN, which has endorsed him for president, $800,000 to register new voters, payments his campaign failed to accurately report. (They were disguised in his FEC disclosure as payments to a front group called Citizen Services Inc. for “advance work.”)
What’s more, Obama worked as executive director of ACORN’s voter-registration arm, Project Vote, in 1992. Joined by two other community organizers on Chicago’s South Side, Obama conducted the voter-registration drive that helped elect Carol Moseley-Braun to the Senate that year.
The next year, 1993, Obama joined the civil-rights law firm Davis Miner Barnhill & Galland, where he sued the state of Illinois on behalf of ACORN to implement the federal “Motor Voter” law, which the GOP governor at the time refused to do. Then-Gov. Jim Edgar argued, presciently, that the Clinton law would invite voter fraud.
Obama downplays his ties to ACORN, and his campaign denies coordinating with ACORN to register voters.
A few of the states where ACORNs activities are under investigation? Courtesty of Hotair and Michelle Malkin:
- Missouri - Officials now have to sift through hundreds of bogus applications submitted last August.
- Connecticut - A criminal investigation has been opened into ACORN fraud.
- Wisconsin - Registering convicted felons.
- Ohio - ACORN tells Cuyahoga County’s election board that they can’t stop themselves from committing fraud.
- Indiana - Over a thousand new applications from ACORN appear to investigators to be fraudulent, and that should be no surprise, since Indianapolis now has 105% of its population registered to vote.
Since Obama’s campaign has finally (albeit reluctantly) admitted to paying (at least) $800,000 to ACORN to register voters during the primary election, it stands to reason that registering non-existing people is neither a new development, nor an exception when it comes to ACORN
However, all that being what it is, let’s talk about one instance where I believe ACORN went from Phase I: registering Ghost Voters, to Phase II, casting ballots on behalf of Ghost Voters. I am talking about Lake County, Indiana.
Let us specifically go back to the Indiana Primary election on Tuesday May 6th, 2008 between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. Here is an excerpt from what CNN had to say about that election:
As polls closed in Indiana, Clinton had a double-digit lead over Obama, but by the end of the evening, Clinton’s lead had shrunk, dragging the race out until early Wednesday.
A clear winner did not emerge until 1:15 a.m. Wednesday — seven hours after the polls closed — because results were slow to come in from Lake County, a Chicago suburb in northwestern Indiana with several precincts that went strongly for Obama.
By Wednesday morning, all absentee ballots had been counted in Lake County and the final results showed Obama had taken the county by 12 percentage points.
What has that got to do with anything you may wonder? Well let’s see what’s going on with ACORN in that part of the world right now. In an article from the NorthWest Indiana Times:
New voter registrations closed Monday in Lake County with possible record-breaking numbers and simmering allegations of fraud and racial discrimination.
Elections board Director Sally LaSota said more than 12,000 voter registration forms are waiting to be processed from recent days before the county knows how many potential voters are ready to cast ballots in the Nov. 4 general election.
“It may be a record,” she said.
LaSota said Monday representatives of the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, or ACORN, a grassroots activist group conducting registration drives, dropped off 2,000 new voter applications last week in Lake County.
“About 1,100 are no good,” she said.
LaSota said the flawed forms are incomplete or contain unreadable handwriting — similar to hundreds of other forms ACORN produced prior to this week. She said some ACORN vote canvassers apparently pulled names and addresses from telephone books and forged signatures.
Granted Lake County is just one county out of thousands of counties where ACORN is active, but if out of 2,000 thousand registrations 1100 are bogus, that means for every 2 people they claim to register, one does NOT exist. If 50% of those non-existing voters were to vote, their ballot would change the dynamic of any election singificantly. Well, that is exactly what happened in Lake County. Though Obama did not end up winning the state, his “victory” in that County alone changed the whole dynamic of the race, and where did he get his victory? Absentee ballots of course.
How was this pulled off? Speaking from personal experience, even though I now live in NYC, I lived for many years in Indiana, and quite a few times I requested to vote via absentee ballot. All I had to do was send my name, address and drivers license number or the last 4 digits of my Social Security number on the absentee ballot application form, and I automatically got a ballot sent to me.
Now, how difficult would it be for ACORN to compile a database with names, addresses and the last 4 digits of the Social Security Numbers (which are NOT verified by the state) of the ghost voters it registers? A database it then uses to request ballots, which it fills out in favor of its chosen candidates?
I have no proof to back this assertion, but I know for a fact that that is exactly what happened in Lake County, on May 6th, and I know it is bound to happen nationwide in the Presidential election.
As a second aside, Lake County encompasses the City of Gary, Indiana. I’ve never lived there, but went to college with lots of people who were from that area, have “rolled through” quite a few times, and have registered voters in the State. If there is one thing I’ve learnt, it’s that the population of Lake County is neither one that has a game-changing high turn-out on election day or votes overwhelmingly via absentee ballot.
As a third aside, and this is really troubling. Barack Obama gets donations from ghost contributors which it then funnels to ghost companies (Citizens Services Inc) which in turn use the money to register ghost voters, who in turn give him “their” vote. I am sorry, but as a registered voter, I am bewilderd and greatly disturbed that because of Barack Obama, not only my civil rights, but also my most fundamental right to vote and know my vote actually counts is being thrown out of the window in the general election just like it was in the Primaries…

Bittergate, Revisited
June 20, 2008 by iam0nly1 · 2 Comments
The Just Say No Deal crew sent out a Media Alert today requesting that Obama supporters “Show Some Class.” As such, I feel it’s appropriate to share a particularly classless and ironic line of attack that Obama supporters commonly use against PUMA voters. They are using one particular word that you would think they would have learned, from their fearless leader, to forego.
Bitter.
That’s right, they’re calling us “bitter.” Don’t believe me…?
Someone named “longgone” graced DONE Dems with this gem just a few days ago:
It is not possible to read this site, to reflect on the posting, and not come to the conclusion that you are exactly what you say you are not: bitter. And angry. You may all be racists as well, hard to tell as most people hide that one away. But I agree with [sic] about one thing, you certainly do not seem to share values that are commonly associated with the democratic party. [emphasis mine]
Here’s another, from my Facebook wall, written to me on June 3, before the primary results for South Dakota and Montana had even come in…
…Hillary has put up a good fight and I commend her for that, but it’s time to move on and do what’s right, not what’s wrong because of bitterness. I won’t apologize for being upset of [sic] Hillary supporters if they jump ship to the republican party because they are a bunch of immature babies.
That’s a good way to get people to mount their Unity Ponies. Oh but wait, there was more, just a few minutes later:
Just look at your page. It’s all bitterness. While I admit the kitten picture is cute and funny, it’s bitterness. Your post about wanting delegates is bitterness. Come on already.
Just in case you’re wondering, my Facebook page is covered with support for Hillary, not anything against Obama, but apparently anything other than full committed admiration and loyalty to “The Chosen One” is “bitterness.”
Let’s think about this for a second.
Many of you would point out the other egregious things they said, like calling us “racists” or “a bunch of immature babies,” but that’s no biggie. As Hillary supporters, who clearly have no other reason to vote FOR someone else or against Obama other than pure racism (snark), we’ve encountered the “racist” tag on more than one occasion. And the “bunch of immature babies” pales in comparison to the numerous times I’ve been called a “whore,” “stupid bitch,” “uncle tom,” “race traitor” etc.
It’s the “bitter” label that sticks out…and I’ve figured out why.
I think it’s supposed to be a compliment and an expression of how much they understand our current plight and the injustice of what occurred.
Why do I think this? Well, because it’s exactly what the Obama supporters and Obama himself said after he took flack for calling voters in small-town Pennsylvania, bitter. I’m sure we all remember this:
“You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them…And they fell through the Clinton administration, and the Bush administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not.
And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion, or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.” [emphasis mine]
After Obama came under fire for these remarks, he characterized it as a compliment:
“What I was saying is that when economic hardship hits in these communities, what people have is- they’ve got family, they’ve got their faith, they’ve got the traditions that have been passed on to them from generation to generation. Those aren’t bad things.” [emphasis mine]
Then he went to small-town Indiana (Pennsylvania’s were too bitter) and told them that calling them “bitter” was an expression of his understanding of their plight. He understood why they were “bitter” and believed they were justified.
“That’s what people understand about politics these days: The game is fixed. It’s not working for ordinary Americans. When I go around and talk to people, there is frustration, and there is anger, and there is bitterness. And what’s worse is when people are expressing their anger, and politicians try to say, what are you angry about?”
~snip~
“And of course they’re bitter. Of course they’re frustrated. You would be too – in fact many of you are. Because the same thing has happened here in Indiana, the same thing has happened across the border in Decatur, the same thing has happened all across the country. Nobody is looking out for you. Nobody is thinking about you.”
~snip~
“No, I’m in touch. I know exactly what’s going on. I know what’s going on in Pennsylvania, I know what’s going in Indiana, I know what’s going in Illinois. People are fed up. They’re angry and they’re frustrated and they’re bitter, and they want to see a change in Washington, and that’s why I’m running for president of the United States of America.”
Don’t you see? When Obama and his followers call us “bitter” they are saying to us that what we have now is our online family of Hillary supporters and faith in Hillary Clinton, and “those aren’t bad things.” We understand “the game is fixed” and it’s not working for the 18 million ordinary Americans that voted for Hillary Clinton. “What’s worse” is that we are expressing our anger and “politicians [and pundits] try to say, what are you angry about?” So “of course” we’re “bitter,” “you would be too!” Nobody is looking out for us, nobody is thinking about us, so we’re “fed up.” We’re angry, and we’re frustrated, and we’re bitter and we want to see change in Washington, in the media, and in the DNC!
Alas, Obama’s followers understand. Now, if only they would show some class.
