Biden: You Know Who Would Have Been A Better VP Pick? Hillary…
September 11, 2008 by PUMA Pundit · 26 Comments
I guess the number of people who think Biden was Obama’s best choice is now down to two: Barack and Michelle…
Even Obama’s mentor, Joe Biden thinks Hillary would have been a better pick for VP than himself.
If ever a campaign was destined for implosion, this is it.
Here’s the video of Biden saying Hillary is a better choice for Vice-President:
Taking a trip down memory lane, here he is saying Hillary is qualified to be the President, and here is what Biden said about the qualifications of the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy

The Power of Three…
September 11, 2008 by PUMA Pundit · 20 Comments
Folks,
It’s time to build, and build big. As PUMAs let us make it our personal mission to personally recruit 3 people to our cause between now and election day. What is our cause? Taking as many votes away from Obama/Biden as possible. Those two should NOT and must NOT be elected in 2008.
What people should we focus on getting to the PUMA cause? Why, people who supported Hillary in the primaries of course, specifically those people who have now either switched to Obama or are still sitting on the fence. If they need reasons why they should not waste their vote on Obama, a simple visit to this site shall provide them with plenty of those.
Once we bring them on board, let’s have them go out and get 3 as well.
Think of it this way, if you personally get 3 people infused with PUMA power, and they get 3 people each, that’s 9 new PUMAs, if those 9 get 3, that’s 27 new PUMAs, if those 27 get 3, that’s 81 PUMAs, 81 PUMAs getting 3 each, that’s 243 new PUMAs, when those 243 get 3 that’s 729 PUMAs, and when those 729 get 3 PUMAs, you would have brought in 2,187 PUMAs to the cause simply because you showed your PUMA pride and had 3 people join the cause!
So let’s go, go, go!
PUMA Power!
Thanks to PUMA MJAC777 for this great idea.

Seems Hillary is taking the “scenic route” for this election…
September 10, 2008 by PUMA Pundit · 49 Comments
There we have it, while Hillary (and Bill) are still stumping for Obama, their efforts are focused on what is really important; electing down-ticket Dems into other state and national offices.
This is obviously bad news for B. Hussein Obama as Hillary would have been a perfect Vice-President anti-Palin campaigner for him. It isn’t a secret that Hillary is a strong, resolute woman who has the love, admiration and support of millions of middle America voters out there.
Here are a few excerpts from the New York Observer story on this very issue:
With the McCain campaign running tactical circles every day around the Obama outfit—which has failed, somewhat unbelievably, to come up with even a semi-compelling response to the Palin selection—one might think Mrs. Clinton, to say nothing of her sidelined husband, would be a useful surrogate on the counterattack right about now. Apparently, the Obama campaign does not agree.
“My concern is that I see them as totally reactive right now as opposed to getting out there on their own and saying what the hell they are about,” said Leon Panetta, a former chief of staff to Bill Clinton who has advised Mr. Obama. “They seem to be intimidated by the Palin pick. They seem to be intimidated by how the Republicans are coming at them on change. And you cannot win if you are constantly on defense.”
The exact same strategy Obama used to sideline Hillary in the primaries is what is failing so woefully against McCain/Palin. In the Democratic Party, the powers that be turned a blind eye to Obama’s shenanigans, thereby allowing him to get away with a whole lot of stuff, and handing him the nomination on a virtual golden platter. Alas, he’s in the big leagues now, and Reid, Dean and Pelosi (to name a few) are completely out of their depth. The only forces in the democratic party that can save him are Hillary (and Bill Clinton), and to call on them in his hour of need would merely show that Obama should never have been the nominee in the first place.
Ha! Karma is a wonderful thing, is it not?

Flip-Flop Alert- B. Hussein Obama Flip-Flops on 527 Groups…
September 9, 2008 by PUMA Pundit · 15 Comments
Well, we all know Obama engages in “Change We Can Believe In”, in fact at this point in the race, he has broken all the flip-flop records set by John “War Hero” Kerry in 2004’s presidential election.

A quick google shows that Obama has allegedly been against 527 groups. Not surprisingly, just like his issue on Campaign Finance contributions, FISA and a host of other issues, his position on 527s has also been reversed.
Marc Ambinder in the Atlantic had this to say:
There’s been a spurt of 527 activity on behalf of Sen. John McCain, but Barack Obama campaign has suddenly gone silent on the subject.
That’s because, after a year of telling donors not to contribute to 527 groups, of encouraging strategists not to form them and of suggesting that outside messaging efforts would not be welcome in Obama’s Democratic Party, Obama’s strategists have changed their approach.
and
An Obama adviser privy to the campaign’s internal thinking on the matter says that, with less than two months before the election and with the realization that Republicans have achieved financial parity with Democrats, they hope that Democratic allies — what another campaign aide termed “the cavalry” — will come to Obama’s aid.
The Obama campaign can’t ask donors to form outside groups; it can only communicate, through the public and the media, with body language, tells and hints.
The upshot: Obama’s campaign will no longer object to independent efforts that hammer John McCain, just as, in their mind, the McCain campaign has not objected to those efforts targeted at Obama. “I assume with their 527s stirring, some [Democratic] ones will as well,” another senior campaign official said.
All I can say is this, if the Chosen One needs 527s aka “The Cavalry” to drive home his message in the final stretch of this campaign, it doesn’t take a genius to see that his campaign has managed to completely loose control of the message, and might very well be on course for an implosion.

Exit Question: How long before Obama picks up the phone and calls Hillary @ 3AM to ask for her help?
P.U.M.A Power- Geraldine Ferraro Talks About P.U.M.As on ABC…
September 3, 2008 by PUMA Pundit · 7 Comments
Sorry, too lazy to transcribe or find the video right now… But here is a partial transcript taken from Newsbusters, Geraldine as usual, makes a great case.
Here are some excerpts:
FERRARO: You know that, that, was a complaint that we heard from a lot of women. But to be quite frank, it wasn’t Hillary who was complaining. It was us. It was, it was me and several others. In fact if you take a look at the Hillary Clinton voters, there are some people there who are called PUMA….Those are the women who turned around and said that the sexism in the press was so bad during the primaries and they’re furious at the DNC, the Democratic National Committee, Howard Dean, and Barack Obama for not speaking up against this. And they say there’s this double standard. If racist — if the media had approached Barack Obama in a racist way, everybody would have been screaming and rightly so. With Hillary, not so. And one of the things I mentioned earler when I was on, on GMA, was I said, you know, there was a guy sitting there with a sign saying “iron my shirts.” Why didn’t the media report that? Does that not indicate that there is sexism in this country? [Actually, quite a few media outlets picked it up.]
Had somebody been there with a sign for Barack Obama that said shine my shoes, would there not have been a reporting of that? No double standard. No double standard. And there are those PUMA people are those people who say “we’re not going to vote for Barack Obama. We’re going to vote for John McCain. Or we’re going to write in Hillary, or what we’re going to do is we’re not going to do anything on the top line.” Those, some of those people, maybe John McCain will pick up. But, you know, it is, it is a very bad place to be. And I have to tell you, even Governor Palin thinks that’s whining. A lot of those PUMA people and I will be watching very carefully to make sure that you treat her just like anybody else. Go to her, her qualifications, go to her experience. Go to whatever you want to. But make sure it’s done on a basis where she’s treated like a guy by the media. No sexism. Because we’ll be looking.
As I said, great stuff. Only thing is this, Geraldine, what do you mean by “those PUMA people and I” ? You are A PUMA person
So it’s ok, say it with me, “We PUMAs”
See, easy, wasn’t it?

Sarah Palin Honors Geraldine Ferraro and Hillary Clinton
August 29, 2008 by PUMA Pundit · 26 Comments
Palin’s Keeping it classy… Not only does she give credit to Geraldine Ferraro and Hillary Clinton for paving the way. She also wants to shatter the 18 million cracks left by Hillary Clinton…

Now let’s see, whose decision shows real desire to bring about change? McCain who is the first Republican to select a woman as his running mate, or Obama who selected a (white) man who has been in the Senate since 1972? Hmmmmm. That’s a tough one… Not really. Obama talks the talk, McCain seems to walk the walk…
Howard Wolfson: On McCain/Palin
August 29, 2008 by PUMA Pundit · 9 Comments
Writing at the New Republic website, Harold Wolfson, former communications director for Hillary Clinton had this to say about McCain picking Sarah Palin:
If the pick is indeed Sarah Palin you are going to have a lot of women voters wondering why Senator Obama didn’t tap Senator Clinton as his running mate.
For one, I am glad Obama didn’t pick Hillary, as the Democratic ticket without Hillary on top of it is as ineffective as the reproductive capacity of an enuch.
Congratulations to Sarah Palin, though she is merely following the footsteps of Geraldine Ferraro, as far as the GOP goes, she is a trail-blazer in her own right.
It is shameful that the Democratic National Convention was all about women; Hillary’s speech celebrated the progress women have made. Michelle’s speech celebrated Hillary shattering the glass ceiling. Yet, at the end of the day, Obama was crowned the nominee, and Joe Biden his deputy. I am ashamed to say this, but it seems McCain has chosen to walk the walk, while Obama just keeps on talking the talk…
