Michael Moore on Larry King- Wants Uncle Sam To Take Over Big 3 Car Companies…

I respect Michael Moore, I really do, in college, he was a hero to me, then I grew up, worked in Corporate America and then became a business owner myself. At this point I realized that if I tried to implement a Michael Moore version of capitalism, I would be out of business very quickly.

Anyway, Michael was recently on Larry King talking about the auto bailout.

Moore doesn’t want to see the loss of more jobs in the US auto industry, and his solution is to not only get rid of the current management teams, but to also have the big 3 become government run companies.

Michael believes they reason the Big 3 are where they are is because they have not listened to consumers or built the right cars. I don’t know about that. I think American cars are just as good as their foreign competitors, the only difference is that the same quality and bells and whistles cost less on a car with a foreign name brand. The only reason for this is because the Unions have negotiated their contracts up to the point that a US auto costs about $2,000 more than its foreign counterparts.

My solution would be very simple. Get rid of the unions. Yes, it might sound radical to those who belive in collective bargaining and what not, but what is the point in collectively bargaining yourself out of a job?

Obama’s “Friend” , disgraced Ex-Detroit Mayor, Kwame Kilpatrick charged 300k to City Credit Card…

Birds of a feather obviously flock together. Not sure who inspired who, but here is the latest to come out of Detroit, on Obama’s friend, Kwame Kilpatrick:

Records show Kwame Kilpatrick used his city of Detroit credit card for at least $286,000 in purchases while he was mayor.

The Detroit News reports Friday Kilpatrick spent at least $126,000 since 2004, including trips to South Africa, France and the Bahamas. The newspaper says it received credit-card records under the Freedom of Information Act.

Kilpatrick was mayor for nearly seven years until his resignation in a criminal scandal last month. He goes to jail Tuesday.

The new mayor, Ken Cockrel, says the billings are, in his words, a “staggering abuse of power.”

Incidentally, it might be interesting to note that Obama himself incurred the largest travel tab of any freshman senator, $28,000 in two years, and this was before he announced his run for President.

I guess his buddy, Kwame schooled him on how to use public finance to pursue a personal agenda. In Kwame’s case it was to promote Detroit, in Obama’s it was to promote Obama…

Lawdy… And yet another Obama Crony Is Hauled off 2 Jail…

Let’s see, Obama sure does have the judgement to lead… a lifestyle where he is surrounded by people who are simply not the kind of people that most sensible people would associate with.

As of this morning, the mayor of the nation’s 11th largest city, Detroit, Kwame Kilpatrick pleaded guilty to a pair of felony obstruction charges and will step down after months of defiantly holding onto his job based on encouragement of people like Barack Obama.

So what exactly did Kilpatrick allegedly do?

Well, how about assaulting a police officer (I guess since Biden isn’t his daddy, he couldn’t get away with it) and lying under oath for starters?

As part of the deal, Kwame is to serve four months in jail and five years of probation. He also will pay $1 million in restitution over the five-year probationary period.

Here we have Senator Comrade  Obama talking about how (despite the controversy surrounding him) Kilpatrick is going to be doing “Outstanding things for years to come, and how he is grateful to call him a friend and colleague”
