Indiana AG says ACORN involved in multiple criminal violations…

October 27, 2008 by PUMA Pundit · Leave a Comment

Hmmm… The day just gets more interesting as it goes along:

Secretary of State Todd Rokita said Monday that his office has found evidence of “multiple criminal violations, including possible state and federal racketeering laws” in connection with fraudulent voter registration applications filed in Lake County.

Rokita said many registration applications filed by the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, or ACORN, had incomplete information or indications of fraud or forgery.

Lake County, ey? Remember this post?

Either way, the FBI had better get involved pronto, if not, if Obama manages to steal the election, it would be a moot point on November 4th, except if he gets indicted then… hmmmm

Here we go… A Black Man on Why You Are Crazy If You Are Voting for Obama…

October 23, 2008 by PUMA Pundit · 7 Comments

I won’t say I agree with everything he says, but I agree with most of it… Alfonzo always calls it like it is.

Since everyone who does not support Obama is a racist, here is a black man (kind of like Obama pretends to be when it suits him :-) who puts it all in perspective…

Rock on!

Whoa! Obama Wants Reporting Voter-Fraud To Be A Crime…

October 18, 2008 by PUMA Pundit · 6 Comments

We all know Obama threatens to send in the lawyers against those who speak out against him, we also know that between having his brownshirts Obama Action Wire people attempt to shut down radio stations critical to him, and his threathening to sic the IRS on organizations that invited Palin to speak at an anti-Iran protest, Obama’s campaign takes this Presidential election as one where all dissenting voices must be silenced.

The latest chapter in this saga is the attempt by Obama’s campaign attorney to compel the Department of Justice (DOJ) to investigate leaks to the news media about the FBI’s probe of allegations of voter registration fraud by ACORN.

Barack Obama’s campaign asked the U.S. Justice Department to expand a special prosecutor’s investigation to include possible improprieties surrounding reports the FBI is looking into voter fraud in the presidential race.

Obama’s campaign attorney said the investigation should look into a leak to the news media that the FBI is probing allegations of voter registration fraud by a grassroots organization called ACORN. The group’s activities were denounced by Republican nominee John McCain in the Oct. 15 presidential debate.

Robert Bauer, general counsel to the Obama campaign, wrote to Attorney General Michael Mukasey a day after the Associated Press, citing unidentified law enforcement officials, reported that the Federal Bureau of Investigation was investigating ACORN. The name is short for Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now.

If as a candidate, this is Obama’s take on the viability of free speech (which is incidentally protected by the 1st Amendment), one only needs to wonder what his approach shall be if he ever becomes President.

CLEVELAND - Volunteers supporting Barack Obama picked up hundreds of people at homeless shelters, soup kitchens and drug-rehab centers and drove them to a polling place yesterday on the last day that Ohioans could register and vote on the same day, almost no questions asked.

The huge effort by a pro-Obama group, Vote Today Ohio, takes advantage of a quirk in the state’s elections laws that allows people to register and cast ballots at the same time without having to prove residency.

Republicans have argued that the window could lead to widespread voter fraud because officials wouldn’t have an opportunity to verify registration information before ballots were cast.

Among the volunteers were Yori Stadlin and Vivian Lehrer of the Upper West Side, who got married last week and decided to spend their honeymoon shepherding voters to the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections.

Early today, Stadlin’s van picked up William Woods, 59, at the soup kitchen of the Bishop Cosgrove Center.

“I never voted before,” Woods said, because of a felony conviction that previously barred him from the polls. “Without this service, I would have had no way to get here.”

The Secret Scrapbook of Barry Soetoro AKA Barack Obama…

The secret scrapbook of Barry Soetoro Barack Obama

My early mentor “Frank” in Hawaii. Pity the neocons found out who it really was!

Here’s my original registration at my first school in Jakarta, Indonesia. It has my old name (Barry Soetoro) with my religion listed as Islam. Go figure.

My grass roots organizing days, training ACORN (note: I don’t condone trading crack cocaine for votes - “aggressive” voter registration: yes, crack: no).

At the beginning of my political career. I was a member of the Democratic Socialists of America’s New Party and got a great endorsement from them. Stepping stones, baby, stepping stones! Of course, I still believe in wealth redistribution!

My first sugar daddy — Tony Rezko – in the early years. And to think I used to consider 250 grand a lot of dough!

The education guru, Bill Ayers! Thank goodness no one ever figured out that he named me the Chairman of the Annenberg Challenge before the political “coming out party” at his and Bernadine’s house!

Here’s me and Jimmy Hoffa (the son, silly, I was only 9 when his Dad disappeared!)

My spiritual mentor, Jeremiah, who always gets the crowd riled up! (Of course, I never heard any of it — tee hee!)

Me and Michie at the Arab-American Action Network dinner with Ed Said (hey, he’s no longer a member of the PLO, ’cause he’s dead!)

Boy, this church newsletter caused me some problems! Jeremiah published this Hamas editorial and I heard no end of grief. Of course, no one in the real world knows I read it and empathize!

My buddy the Rev. James Meeks (I know he’s a gay-basher, but he mixes a great martini!)

This is from my trip to Kenya in ‘96 where I supported my cousin Raila Odinga. He was also running for office. He’s a great guy who wants to bring order back to the country (I know so because he signed this “Memorandum of Understanding” to bring Taliban-style Sharia law to Kenya)!

Two community organizers make good!

Back in the motherland!

Here’s ex-Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick — he’s in a bit of legal trouble, but I included this photo ‘cuz it shows my favorite teleprompter.

I hate that b***h!

I LOVE THIS GUY!

Jiminy Cricket! Army of 200,000 Ghost Voters Discovered In Ohio…

October 15, 2008 by PUMA Pundit · 5 Comments

Reality Check Time: Are we in the United States of America in 2008 or a Banana Republic, circa 1960?

I would say the former, but Obama is hell bent on proving it to be the latter.

How can 200,000 (TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND) unverifiable people be on the voter roll in Ohio alone? I understand that Obama is raising an army of Ghost Voters, but 200,00 in one state? Considering the fact that George Bush won Ohio by about 118,775 votes, even if half of this number is deployed, it would be a game changer.

Ohio has 88 counties, with some obviously bigger than others, deploying 30k ghost voters to Cuyahoga County, 30k to Franklin County, 10k to Hamilton, Lucas, Montgomery and Summit County, still leaves about 100k ghost voters to spread between the remaining 81 counties. At about 1,235 voters per county an electoral victory for Obama is not an impossibility but a very significant probability.

Please be aware that this 200,000 is not counting the 10,000 fraudulent votes that “Vote From Home ‘08” has promised to deliver.

Anyway, here’s some of what the Cleveland Plain Dealer had to say on the subject:

Since Jan. 1, Ohio has had 666,000 newly registered or updated voters — all of whom fall under scrutiny by this latest court ruling. [Ohio Secretary of State] Jennifer Brunner said an initial review found that at least 200,000 of them might have mismatched information. Once the office identifies all of the mismatched voters, Brunner will send the list to the county boards of election where the individuals have registered.

The U.S. 6th Circuit Court of Appeals issued a ruling late Tuesday requiring the state to set up a new registration verification system by Friday.

The court’s 9-6 opinion, written by Judge Jeffrey Sutton, suggested that voters whose driver’s license number or Social Security number does not exactly match those found on databases maintained by the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles or Social Security Administration could be required to use provisional ballots instead of conventional ones.

Even though Brunner said she would comply with the ruling, she said she is deeply concerned that the decision is a veiled attempt at disenfranchising voters. I guess her position makes sense, how can Mickey Mouse, Pluto and Goofy vote early and vote often if they would have to verify their identities…

If you want to know exactly how this army of ghost voters would be deployed, simply read this article

The Obama Battalion Of The Undead (ACORN Voters) is thwarted in Philly…

October 15, 2008 by PUMA Pundit · 3 Comments

Is it just me, or does it seem ACORN is basically targeting improvished Black communities as recruiting centers for its’ ghost army? I guess they figure out that since polls show Obama is getting 90% of the black vote, who is going to notice an adittional 12,000 votes cast for him here, there or anywhere?

Here’s a report from CNN on the activities of ACORN in Philadelphia:

KIRAN CHETRY: A group that claims it signed up more than a million new voters is now facing allegations that many forms may be fake. Drew Griffin from the Special Investigations Unit is in Philadelphia. He’s looking at the facts for us this morning. Hi, Drew.

DREW GRIFFIN: Good morning, Kiran. You know, ever since the voter registration deadline ended for this November 4th election, I feel like I’ve been on a national tour looking at voter registration fraud across the country. In Philly, it’s no different. And here in Philadelphia, they say it’s the same group as everywhere else. The good news, there have been hundreds of thousands of new voter registrations processed in Philadelphia, including a vast majority of good, clean registrations from ACORN. The bad news, Philadelphia has already sent 1,500 obvious fraudulent registrations to the U.S. Attorney to be investigated. Every one of them from the same group, ACORN.

GRIFFIN: Is ACORN a group that has been problematic in its organizing of these voter registration drives?

FRED VOIGT: Sure.

GRIFFIN: Have you tried to work with them to explain to them?

VOIGT: Absolutely.

GRIFFIN: Why is –

VOIGT: I don’t have an answer for you, okay?

GRIFFIN: All right.

VOIGT: We originally — this has been going on for a number of years. We have met with them. We’ve talked to them.

GRIFFIN: According to city officials, close to 8,000 applications turned in by ACORN are problematic, including the 1,500 already sent to the U.S. Attorney, and officials expect the number to climb. Greg Voigt says so far his office is catching them, making sure no bad registrations lead to bad votes, but admits he has limited staff.

VOIGT: Are there going to be bad votes? Sure, there are going to be bad votes. There are always bad votes. Am I concerned this is a close election? Of course, I’m concerned it’s a close election. But, you have to weigh everything in terms of your capacity to find things out.

GRIFFIN: Voigt says the problem is ACORN hires people desperate for money, including drug addicts, homeless, recovering alcoholics, even recent parolees who only get paid if they get signatures.

VOIGT: You just look at them and it was all in the same hand. You know, if you see some where they used a phone book, including the apostrophe. You know, some of the –

GRIFFIN: Went down in the phone book and just copied it verbatim right now.

VOIGT: Kitchen petition.

GRIFFIN: Kitchen petition? Sitting around the kitchen, fill out the petition.

VOIGT: Fill out the petition. This happens.

GRIFFIN: We went to ACORN’s Philadelphia headquarters where a rally was taking place, telling volunteers the recent news about voter fraud was just another attack by the right wing and the media on the poor.

ACORN SPEAKER: That is fraud! That is voter suppression. That is not news.

GRIFFIN: Jeanette Marcano is the local ACORN chairperson who acknowledges ACORN hires the less fortunate, but says there is nothing wrong with that. Why is the Deputy City Commissioner of Philadelphia telling me that ACORN is hiring recovering alcoholics, drug addicts, homeless people, who are so desperate to get money that they know that they don’t make their quota, they just fill in any old name, that’s what he’s telling me?

JEANETTE MARCANO: That is not the point.

GRIFFIN: That’s not the point?

MARCANO: No, that is not the point.

GRIFFIN: What is the point?

MARCANO: They are not deliberately go out there and say — you are homeless, you are a recovering alcoholic. You are –

GRIFFIN: But has it presented itself as a problem to ACORN? Wouldn’t ACORN like to run a nice, clean, smooth voter registration drive?

MARCANO: We have — we have done that. Because if we had been able to register 85,000, above 85,000, good registrants compared to 5,000 suspect cards, we have done a good job.

GRIFFIN: Kiran, last week I was in Indianapolis, or actually, Gary, Indiana, where they had dead people being registered to vote. ACORN insists it trains its workers and doesn’t have a big problem, but city officials here in Philadelphia beg to differ with that. Kiran?

CHETRY: Yeah, and in its defense, ACORN has said it is actually identifying these problematic registrations in advance and trying to notify authorities. In Philadelphia, ACORN said it flagged, I guess, 5,000 applications before the officials found them. Is that true?

GRIFFIN: Not according to the city officials, not true. They say that ACORN came in with a bundle of 1,100 that they thought were suspect. Actually, it turned out a couple of hundred of them were actually good voter registration cards that they processed and sent voter cards out to. So, there are a lot of disparities between the number that ACORN is getting and what city officials checking the actual records are getting, and that number, Kiran, is only going to grow as they continue to process more of these for this election.

Incidentally, in Ohio it seems Team Obama is getting people who are non-residents to register in the state for the purpose of voting, in fact they are so brazen about it that they are promising to deliver 10,000 votes:

An entire houseful of young, non-Ohioan Democrat activists have used the Brownlee Avenue address to register themselves to vote in the Buckeye State and secure absentee ballots under extremely shady circumstances — all while mobilizing a large effort to register thousands of others for absentee and early voting. The activists are leaders of a group called “Vote From Home ‘08.” The group is self-identified as having “extensive experience with political organizing, election administration, and Democratic politics.” They were hailed as the “Justice League” by a Daily Kos blogger. Their Facebook page brags: “Want to turn the Presidential election blue in a key swing state? Vote from Home is a political organization that was founded by a team of young people for the purpose of assisting, aiding, and tracking voters to elect progressive candidates to the White House. Encouraged by the excitement of the 2008 elections and the movement around the Democratic candidates, Vote From Home will be in Ohio seeking to deliver 10,000 votes to Democratic candidates statewide.”

… ACORN tries to register Mickey Mouse as a voter in Florida…

October 14, 2008 by PUMA Pundit · 13 Comments

I guess the $800,000 Barack Obama paid ACORN to get new votes is not going to waste. ACORN is committed to delivering, even if they must register every cartoon character who lives in Florida.

From Fox News:

Florida elections officials rejected Mickey’s application this summer. It is unclear whether Mickey tried to register as a Democrat or a Republican. But the application included a stamped logo of ACORN, the community organizing group that is facing accusations of voter registration fraud.

I wonder if Minnie, Goofy, Pluto and Uncle Scrooge have registered as well…

The curious case of Farrakhan calling Obama “The Messiah”, Carol Moseley-Braun, ACORN, Jeremiah Wright and Wealth Redistribution…

October 13, 2008 by PUMA Pundit · 15 Comments

Contrary to popular belief, I am not one who is into conspiracy theories, however between my degree in Political Science, and my involvement in politics, forgive me if I don’t come to conclusions based on sound bites.

Recently I’ve received numerous links to the (in)famous video of Louis “Calypso Lou” Farrakhan referring to Barack Obama as “The Messiah”. I thought nothing of it as I know Farrakhan is one who engages in grandiloquent verbosity on a regular basis.

Either way, I still wanted to see what link if any, there is between Barack Hussein Obama and Calypso Lou. For the record, I have no respect for Louis Farrakhan whatsoever for two reasons:

1: His “alleged” involvement in the murder of Malcolm X in order to consolidate his grip on the rank and file of the NOI (Nation of Islam).

2: His prolific support for one of Africa’s most corrupt and brutal dictators, Nigeria’s Sani Abacha, support which was shared by the then Illinois Senator, Carol Moseley-Braun, (the first black woman elected to the US Senate.)

Obama had coordinated “Chicago Project Vote” an ACORN backed community initiative which registered 150,000 “new” voters and helped propel Moseley-Braun to victory in 1992. Moseley-Braun however lost her seat in 1998 after allegations of campaign contribution improprieties rocked her re-election bid. Columnist George Will had the following words of wisdom heaped on him by Moseley-Braun for daring to write about the corruption which was rife in her campaign:

“I think because he couldn’t say nigger, he said corrupt,” Moseley-Braun, who is black, said Monday following a Labor Day rally with fellow Democrats at Chicago’s Navy Pier.

The Democratic senator also made a reference to the Ku Klux Klan by calling criticism by Will and other conservatives “a substitute for their hood.”

Come to your own conclusions, but I personally doubt that Obama’s methods while working for ACORN are radically different from ACORN’s methods while working for Obama. Also, I am sure I am not the only one seeing parallels between Moseley-Braun’s demagoguery and that of Team Obama.

However, I digress. Let’s get back to the issue of Farrakhan.

Why would Farrakhan call Obama the “messiah”? Well, reading the platform of the NOI it becomes obvious that “wealth redistribution” aka “reparations” is a core belief of that organization , and of many black radicals outside it . Obviously, this is a sentiment most Americans do not share (for the record I do NOT think Barack Obama is still a Muslim)

Here is what Louis Farrakhan believes:

“When our fathers were brought into slavery, we were deprived of knowledge. To deprive us of knowledge is to deprive us of the power to generate thought, mind and the ability to think, act and direct our own lives. When we talk about reparations, we are talking about that which must come to repair the damage done to Black people.

Here is what Barack Obama believes and intends to do if elected:

Plumber to Obama: “Your new tax plan is going to tax me more. Isn’t it?”

Obama: “It’s not that I want to punish your success, I just want to make sure that everybody that is behind you, that they have a chance for success too. I think that when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody.”

Only difference is that Obama believes this should be done for all and not just the black community, I guess that’s where the influence of Bill Ayers comes in.

Coincidence? I think not. All this goes in line with the decisions reached in 1993 at a conference hosted by Louis Farrakhan which had representation from Trinity Church, Obama’s spiritual home since 1988:

Nearly 50 activists from across the country answered the call to discuss operational unity and a consolidation of efforts, in order to enhance and fortify the movement for reparations for Black people’s suffering in the trans-Atlantic slave trade.

Representing Trinity Church and its pastor Reverend Jeremiah Wright, Dr. Iva Carruthers spoke of equipping ministers beyond worship, and enabling them to effectively network, empower people and impact policy.

Again, I don’t know about you, but I would not chalk it up to coincidence that as far back as 1993 the groundwork for the emergence of a Manchurian CandidateBarack Obama was put in place. Now, 15 years later, Barack Obama is poised to enact the main agenda of that conference; the “redistribution of wealth” to use mainstream phraseology or “reparations” if one is to call it what it really is.

I guess, since Farrakhan believes he is finally about to get that what he has been striving for for decades, it is only fitting that he would call the man who is about to make it happen “the Messiah…”

As Rezko starts to sing… Barack Obama might be days away from an indictment…

October 10, 2008 by PUMA Pundit · 12 Comments

Avid PUMAs may remember the article we had about Alexi Giannoulias alleged banker to the mob, Obama fundraiser, DNC Convention speaker, and Illinois’ State Treasurer.

We got word earlier this week that Tony Rezko had started talking about Alexi as part of  his plea-bargain negotiations. Earlier today, Michael Sneed, columnist for the Chicago Sun Times had this blurb:

Sneed hears rumbles political fund-raiser/fixer Tony Rezko, who is now singing sweetly to the feds from his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center, has been talking about his “dealings” with a Chicago bank, which has political connections.
Stay tuned.

Hmmmm. Hillbuzz it seems also got independent confirmation on the “bank” in this blurb being Broadway Bank. Giannoulias was the bank’s vice president and chief loan officer under whose watch more than $15 million in loans was approved. Some of these loans went to Michael “Jaws” Giorango, a Chicagoan twice convicted of bookmaking and running a nationwide prostitution ring.

What the heck is the Rezko connection in here you may wonder, PUMA Pundit, aren’t you merely grasping for straws you may think? Not at all, there is a major connection.

According to an article in The Chicago Sun Times , in 2006 Rezko wrote $450,000 in bad checks drawn to this bank,  at a time Alexi Giannoulias listed himself both as President and as Chairman of the Board. Coincidentally, and I use this word lightly, in 2003:

Rezko also pushed for the appointment of Chicago banker Demetris Giannoulias, brother of Democratic state Treasurer Alexi Giannoulias, to the Illinois Finance Authority board, records show.

But wait, there’s more. What do we know about Demetris Giannoulias?  Well for starters, based on his profile at Crossroads Fund where he serves as a member of the Board of Directors:

Demetris Giannoulias, Chief Financial Officer of Broadway Bank in Chicago, is interested and involved in community organizing and economic development in low-income communities.

Community organizing? Guess which organization has been getting grants from the Crossroads Fund? ACORN of course… Incidentally, Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dhorn are active fundraisers for the fund. Last year when the fund held its 25th anniversary, Barack Obama was one of the Honorary Hosts.

But enough about the Crossroads Fund, let’s get back to Demetris and Rezko.

Professionaly, here is what Demetris has been doing with Broadway Bank:

Since 2000, Mr. Giannoulias has been responsible for the administration and oversight of Broadway Bank… first as Chief Financial Officer, and currently as President and CEO

Now that I’ve served the appetizer, here’s the main meal:

In 2002, under the guise of funding a construction project, Rezko and his then-business partner, Daniel Muhra had borrowed $10.9 million from Broadway Bank an institution headed by Demetris and Alexei.  In 2003, Demetris was recommended by Rezko to Governor Rod Blagojevich for a seat on the Illinois Finance Authority Board, for reasons yet unknown, Demetris was not appointed.

In 2003/2004 Tony Rezko was one of Obama’s biggest fundraisers during his Senate run. Among the contributors to the Obama campaign fund other than Rezko were Demetris and Alexi Giannoulias, both still  executive officers of Broadway Bank.

Obama’s Campaign Funds were kept in … You guessed it, Broadway Bank.

In 2006, without justification, Alexi Giannoulias was endorsed by Barack Obama for Illinois State Treasurer. This is despite the fact that most other leading Illinois Democrats were puzzled as to what qualifications a then 28 year old Alexis had to run for such a position.

Between March and July of that same year,  Tony Rezko was charged with writing over $450,000 in bad checks in Las Vegas. Checks which were drawn to Broadway Bank.

(It is worthy to note that Rezko is not alleged to have gambled the money, merely to have gotten casino chips and cash in exchange for the checks. In other words; money laundering. $450,000 in unmarked, untaxed bills is one heck of a way to launder money.

Demetris was President and CEO of the bank at the time the bad checks were written. Since even grocery stores have check verification capabilities, I am sure Vegas Luxury Hotels do too, therefore there is no way someone could have written $450,000 in bad checks over the course of 5 months and not had his account shut down, or the checks refused. In other words, to say the least, someone at Broadway Bank played a role in facilitating the verification of those checks.)

In 2006, Rezko’s company which obtained the $10.9 million loan, filed for bancruptcy, the loan was obviously not paid back.

On November 7th, 2006 Alexis was elected into statewide office.

 Fast forward to 2008.

Rezko is now a convicted felon.

Obama is in the Senate, attempting to become President, Demetris is still “running” the bank, Alexi is still the State Treasurer and Rod Blagojevich is the Governor. Tony Rezko is now a convicted felon (yes, I’m saying it twice for emphasis).

To top it all, without justification, Obama gives Alexi Giannoulias a slot to speak at the DNC Convention.

Rezko is due to be sentenced.

Before he is convicted however, Rezko promises not to squeal as long as Obama and Blagojevich take care of him:

“Your Honor, the prosecutors have been overzealous in pursuing a crime that never happened,” he wrote. “They are pressuring me to tell them the ‘wrong’ things that I supposedly know about Governor Blagojevich and Senator Obama. I have never been a party to any wrongdoing that involved the Governor or the Senator.”

“Despite my belief in my innocence, I understand I may well lose this case, If I do, I am prepared to serve my sentence.”

Unfortunately for him, his coded message fell on deaf ears, and Obama and Blagojevich decided not to intervene. Realizing jail is not such a fun place, Rezko has chosen to do what he threathened not to do if they took care of him; he starts to squeal.

So there you have it folks. Connect the dots. Where this will lead, I don’t know. The question one has to ask is whether George Bush will authorize the DOJ to indict the first “black” nominee of a major party, with less than30 days left to go before the election? I don’t have the answer to that question, but if the spirit of the law is followed, Obama might be in federal custody in the not too distant future.
