Yesterday when Barack Obama met with the Queen of England in the Queen’s Palace in the United Kingdom, he merely offered her a handshake. However, King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, a man who presides over a nation where women are considered to be less than 3/5 human, got a whole bow from Barack Obama.
Shameful, hardly, disgraceful, absolutely… Bowing to somebody under the rules of protocol is a sign of recognizing that the person has authority over you. Last I checked, the King of Saudi Arabia does NOT have such authority over the President of the United States, but I guess I am mistaken.
