Barack Obama, Russia’s Putin and China’s Premier Lash Out At “Excesses” of US Capitalism…

Somewhere in Moscow and Beijing, Comrade Lenin and Chairman Mao are smiling. For the first time in history, within a space of 24 hours, the US President and his Chinese and Russian counterparts all spoke against the free enterprise system upon which the US economy is built.

Here are Obama’s wise words: NYT

President Obama fired a warning shot at Wall Street on Thursday, branding bankers “shameful” for giving themselves $18.4 billion in bonuses as the economy was spinning out of control and the government was spending billions to bail out many of the nation’s most prominent financial firms.

Mr. Obama said, adding that “there will be time for them to make profits and there will be time for them to make bonuses. Now is not that time.”

Of course now that the US Economy is nationalized, Obama gets to call the shots as to what happens in private enterprise, whether it is in line with the free enterprise system or not….

Incidentally, I think it is funny that he is complaining about banks paying bonuses of $18 billion when he is pushing to pass a “stimulus bill” that pays special interests over $500 billion.

Is it just me, or is this simply bizzare?

Truth is, capitalism is not perfect, but the invisible hand of the market will always bring about a correction. Turning against capitalism is a short term, panic motivated approach, but then again Lenin built the Soviet State upon that premise…

    puma pundit, I always knew you were a hack, but now I know you’re not all that intelligent either. It was your beloved GWBush who nationalized the banks by giving them a big blank check with no strings attached because that meth-freak Henry Paulson said so. You’re against everything Obama does but you’re OK with Bush taking your money and giving it to these morons to spend on jets and toilets and bigger bonuses. All of this bailout crap is bad for the country; it was bad when your lord Bush did it and it’s bad now. At least try to be objective.

    I don’t know if you noticed but Bush never supported a bailout to finance abortionist organizations, giving tax money to people that doesn’t work and to engage in a socialist-populist experiment that might lead us deeper in an economic mess. If you don’t like this site, hey, there are lots of Obama-Socialist-Appeasement-Fascist-Policies loving sites out there!

    Carmelo are you with us here? The bonuses that Obama is complaining about, that puma pundit apparently is OK with, came from the Bush/Paulson bailout. Republicans tend to have conveniently short memories; I won’t fault you.

    Bush/Paulson both are gone! We have a socialist-populist-pro Islam president in the White House and the Senate and the House(except few centrist exceptions) are behind him.
    I might have posted my contribution in the wrong thread but still, check what PUMA pundit writes on this one:

    Those special interests are organizations that are trying to take down our free market democratic system. They are trying to impose their beliefs on the majority. Obama and his socialist-Malcom X fans can complain all they want about bonuses to big corporations but that is something we have lived for the past 60 years(even during Kennedy and Clinton years!).
