A historical picture… Not because he is black (or-biracial), but because he is the 44th President of the United States and it’s his first full day on the job…
At times I feel like it's just me against the world...

The first of his 1,460 days as Commander in Chief. All the media adoration and huge crowds and an unpopular president and “two wars” and a bad economy and more than half billion in “donations”, yet this guy could not even get a landslide.
Nixon won 49 states, Reagan won 46, yet the Messiah needed ACORN to win Ohio and Florida.

Whew!
And today he put a hold on offshore drilling. Thank god ( I mean – thank P-BO) that he saved us from pumping 700 billion dollars into our own economy and will continue to help countries who hate us. But then, we don’t need any oil here. P-BO will be able to invent an alternative energy source, rebuild the stations to provide it, and have us all driving the new cars before we know it! Or, more to the point – one more special interest group gets their agenda at the expense of the American people.
Yeah, I am sure he appreciated all the small contributions to his campaign, but in the end, it’s all about the big donors – the little people be damned.
Change you can believe in?? or politics as usual?

Some fine young visionary lady that the left said is “dumb” have been saying we need to improve this economy with American hands and ingenuity. Drilling now and put billions American dollars in American citizens hands not in the big government’s hands.
As I write this I see Hillary Clinton accepting her “consolation prize” of Obama’s Secretary of State. WHAT A SHAME OF A WOMAN!

I think M.Bander (or is it mbander) is right; we absolutely do not need to consider the consequences of our actions so long as it profits our large multi-national corporations thus benefiting us all thru trickle-down economics. We have survived for decades relying on the ‘invisible hand’ of market forces and the middle of a global economic crisis is not the time to try ‘experimental’ policies. Adam Smith was right (even tho he was British) and we should all just accept that. Where is the evidence that any harm is done thru off-shore drilling in hurricane zones and even if there was, surely driving an SUV is more important.
I mean; don’t all Americans feel better off knowing that our corporations are out there, throwing their weight around in the rest of the world and muscling markets in order to make sure all Americans are better off. I know I do!!!
