Dr Martin Luther King did an interview with the BBC’s Bob McKenzie in 1964 in which Dr King predicts a “Negro president” in less than 40 years.” BBC
He stated that as of 1964, there were “Negroes” who were qualified to be President based on integrity, vision and leadership ability.”
I guess MLK was off by 4 years timeline wise vis-a-vis Barack Obama, and as for integrity and vision, well the former is lacking, and the latter not so much, except the vision he was referring to was one of turning the USA into a socialist utopia. Leadership ability, we’ll give that to Obama, but then again, every successful cult leader has had leadership ability…
As for the usage of the word “Negro”, it is what Martin Luther King Jr. Said, and is used strictly in it’s historical context, no racist allusion is implied or intended…
