Happy,

That doesn't even make sense. It was, and always has been one of the most ridiculous critism's of Bush. You can debate why we are there, how badly the war was fought but the "no exit strategy - we should schedule our wars by date" is just odd. Of course Obama was ridiculed for a timetable - it's ridiculous.

Mbander,

This does not negate the fact that Bush went in WITHOUT an Exit Strategy and had no idea whatsoever, how to get us out. This was NOT logical. When Obama suggested a timetable Bush et al, mocked this and tried to use it against him. The American people, the Iraqi people and the rest of the world wanted to bring this to a close. Only the neo-cons wanted to stay. Bush and McCain DID NOT propose timetables. Now we have them. That MBANDER is progress.

Actually Happy,

Instead of confirming Timmy by Inauguration Day, as P-BO wanted, the Senate has scheduled a hearing about his tax "mistake". If nothing else Happy, you should object to him because if you believe this was a mistake, you would have to believe he didn't read the document stating he understood his tax obligation when he was hired. I would like the Treasury Secretary to at least read everything he is signing.

As to the timetable comment. Bush said we would leave Iraq when it is secure. Except for the loser, that is ALWAYS the exit strategy in a conflict - how can you fight a war and tell the people you are fighting that you will only be there until a certain date - then you will leave. Does that seem rational to you? Even Obama finally figured that out. And I do mean this - kudos to him for that.
