Cult of Personality Continues… Principal recruits 800 elementary school students to create 150 foot portrait to Obama…

Ok, this is not Soviet Russia, it is not Communist China, and it is definitely not North Korea or Cuba, so why are we having our children engage in cult of personality theatrics?

It is one thing to use children to engage in praise and recognition of heroes from days gone by, or our nation’s symbols and/or institutions, it is another to have them do same for a living, breathing individual who hasn’t even finished serving his first 24 hours as President.

It is completely inappropriate to use institutions of state to indoctrinate children in favor of a certain politicians or political parties, and till Obama came along, it was thankfully not part of the political landscape in this country.

For those who say this is no big deal, ask yourself if you would be comfortable knowing your child was taken out of class by his/her principal to participate in making a 150 foot mural in honor of George Bush…

Meanwhile in another part of the world, Obama’s image is getting burnt. While they may think Obama is America, as Americans we ought to know better…
