At times I feel like it's just me against the world...

    OBama would say:

“mmm ehhh Israel has the right to defend itself and to exist…but using their powerful military against terrorists that hide behind innocent civilians, is just…..mmm… like my pay grade..”

OR he would say something radical like this:

“Man, the United States detonated two atomic bombs over Japanese men, women and children, killing, dismembering and permanently sickening a complete generation of Hiroshimites and Nagazakians …this case of Israel and my HAMAS supporters is just like an evil that we need to talk to and sit unconditionally with..”

    NOTE:

I am in the basement of my house, wearing nothing but my Mickey Mouse boxers, eating pop corn while trying to hack Caroline Kennedy’s private internet account.

    Puma,

What should Obama say? Should he say “good job, Israel, keep it up” or should he say “Bad, Israel, stop it now!”

Why should he say anything at all? He is the PETOUS and we are not like other countries where you have mixed or multiple signals from different pols. Give it time.

Also, I bet the Jewish population in the U.S. and the World may be heaving a sigh of relief. Remember during the campaign there was a fear of whether or not Obama would support Israel? He just may be a supporter….

    Silence is consent.

Don’t worry, Israel-HAMAS crisis is nothing compared to what it is cooking in Afghanistan-Pakistan-India and
    Egypt, Iran, Turkey,
Russia, Ukraine, Georgia, Poland , Spain and…..
    ALASKA!
I just hope the raise in the price of oil delay two or 4 more months.
In 6 months we will not be talking about HAMAS-Israel

We will be talking about those crazy Russians.

    Carmelo,

Honestly, just what exactly ARE you talking about?

  • Happydaysarehereagain

Yeah, I’m kinda unsure on that one.

  • Amsterdam

I think he wants something horrible to happen to people anywhere in the world with massive casualties so he can say, “See, I told you! It’s Obama’s fault!” and then glory in the massive amount of dead people and destruction. I am now convinced that Carmelo is a very troubled individual. He intimated on another thread that homosexuals should be killed for being homosexual and he made his hatred of Jews very clear. Frankly, individuals like this scare me.

  • Amsterdam

As for the topic of this thread: it is up to George W. Bush to say something. Until the 20th of January, he is the president and not Obama.

  • Amsterdam

I just thought of this. Could Israel be practicing the Bush Doctrine of pre-emption? Bush’s justification of the invasion of Iraq was that Saddam Hussein and Iraq COULD be a threat to the United States. Israel sees Hamas as a potential threat. I’m not saying I agree with this aggression but Bush doctrine could be the precedent.

If anything, that’s another reason to condemn Israel for its overbearing and unnecessarily severe retaliation

    Amsterdam,

I am of the opinion that the rockets while dangerous are simply a nusance. I look at it like this; say you are in your backyard chilling, having a bbq, when all of a sudden you get 1 or 2 mosquitoes buzzing around and biting you on the ankles. Suppose further that you become extremely annoyed these litle bites and decide to take action. Do you:

    (A) Ignore the an apply benadryl later
    (B) Take a couple of swats at them and hope they go away?
    (C) Bring out the Heavy Duty OFF and Nail them to the wall?

Not saying that this hasn’t been tried before but…..

Egypt needs to have high-level talks with both HAMAS and the PLO. Egypt needs to let them know in no uncertain terms that honest efforts need to be made to end the rocket launchings or there will be no further negotiations by Egypt on Palenstine’s behalf.

Egypt needs to have talks with Israel, advising them of what they face should they go full scale in to the Gazan territories. Isreal needs to remember the streetside bombings at cafes and market squares. Israel needs to do what it can and keep in mind, it is better to have a stone in your shoe rather a cane to help you because you have no foot.

Obama doctrine: post Emtion or pre Emptyness or “Appeasement for Fake peace”

Viva Chavez! Take Venezuela’s democracy and its oil and shake hands with “the black man”

I don’t know but these Putin and Mendevev really give me the creeps. They might not be communists and are strong oponents of Marxism but they are going to the route of nazi Germany, fascist Spain, Imperial Japan, dictatorship Chile…and worse: carzy Iran.

Expect more anti American and anti NATO sentiments from the Kremlin in the next two years(Despite our new president and his call for change and peace) . Expect more weapons exchange between Russia and our “tiny countries”: Venezuela, Iran, North Korea, etc, etc, etc…
Pray that these weirdos keep their hands busy with separatists and terrorists in their own territory than getting their dirty hands in our business and our allies businesses. Seven places to watch in the next two years: Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Iran, Afghanistan, the Republic of Georgia and….ALASKA!

  • Also2

Once again, what the hell are you talking about?

  • Happydaysarehereagain

    Also,

I’m not 100% sure, but I believe he’s saying the international policies we’ve pursue over the past 8 years has taken our collective eyes off the “hot spots” around the world.

That there will be continued Anti-American and anti-NATO sentiments expressed from CHAVEZ, Mahmoud, Kim, et al. there is no doubt.

As for Russia and Ukraine, they will remain mirred in regional turmoil and be subdued by the economy. Poland is NATO backed and therefore, safe. Iran is Iran and there little crackpot is tamed by the religious rulers of the country who really don’t want U.S. boots on the ground in Iran.

Georgia will get proxy backing by NATO!

Afghanistan is the true hot spot! Our current leader, along with RUMMY and WOLFIE made sure of that!

    Happy New Year everyone!

Obama is not the President. Be patient, your savior will be here soon enough.

The post is ignorant. Hitler did not retaliate: he invaded, unprovoked, and spearheaded the extermination of an entire race of people. That is a lot different than responding to another country lobbing missles at your public.

Also, the Israelis are not just firing indiscriminately. They are targeting the military personnelle responsible for the attacks against Israel. The problem is, the Muslim fighters like to hide in Mosques and other places that will give them sympathy when destroyed. If Osama was in a mosque, blow the hell out of that Mosque. No safe haven for terrorists.

If there is one thing history has taught us: don’t F with Israel. They know what it is like to be passive, unresponsive to agression. They respond disproportionately with a swift and unstoppable fist. Why are the Palestinian militants so stupid as to egg them on? There was a cease-fire in effect, after all, which the Palestinians broke. The Israelis are never the agressors, they only respond to attacks on their people.

To compare that to Hitler is not only silly, but offensive.

This site needs a good editor. Too much ignorance has been slipping through lately.
