Newt,

Good Points! I agree with you a lot on your post. In your opinion, why do you suppose so many are quick to use phrases such as Messiah, or "the One"?

By the way, this is an editorial column and not a news report. PP - if you're going to attack Obama for not being transparent, maybe you should be to keep up any credibility.

I never did understand why exactly the ultra-right (on this site and others) continue to refer to Obama sarcastically as anyone's "messiah". I have never seen or heard anyone on the left call Obama "messiah". If they did, I would certainly agree that it would be absurd, but that being said, this incessant repetition of the word "messiah" for the purpose of irking the left seems off base. Obama is no one's messiah.

I can handle it, that BHO is not living up to his campaign promises. It fits in with my belief that all politicians lie, cheat, and steal, especially when caught, or exposed by their fellow liars, cheaters, and stealers.

I pitty the worshipful core who look to BHO as their messiah, The One. A few, their illusion shattered, will become despondent. Others will excuse his actions, and continue with their illusion sustained by their codependent behavior.

Don't get me wrong; I'm not against BHO. My expectation is that, as a President, his performance during his term(s) will be somewhat like the average of Carter, Reagan, Bush, Clinton, and Bush. After all, a suit cut from the same cloth will wear like the others, and BHO is a poliician, just like the rest.

Some, regardless of any failures, will glory through his term(s).
Others, regardless of any successes, will spitefully suffer through them.
America will come through it, and in time, BHO, like other Presidents, will be little more than a few programs on the history channel.

So BHO lied. They were campaign promises. You really didn't elieve them, did you?
