Our Dear Leader, President-Elect, Barack Obama claims that since November 4th, he has NOT met with Rod Blagojevich the Illinois State Governor arrested for corruption, alas Barack Obama is lying BLATANTLY …
Let’s look at a few of those meetings:
On November 5th KHQA 7 had the following news blurb:
Now that Barack Obama will be moving to the White House, his seat in the U.S. Senate representing Illinois will have to be filled.
That’s one of Obama’s first priorities today.
He’s meeting with Governor Rod Blagojevich this afternoon in Chicago to discuss it.
Then on November 6th, here is a statement issued by the Office of the Governor:
After congratulating President-Elect Barack Obama on his decisive victory, Governor Rod R. Blagojevich announced today that he will take his time and use a diverse senior staff made up of key members of his administration who will assist him in selecting a suitable replacement for Obama.
The day after KHQA7 stated that Barack Obama was meeting with Rod Blagojevich, the Governor publicly admitted that he congratulated Barack Obama. Let’s put 2 and 2 together… Hmmmm
Anyway, there’s more… Let’s fastforward to December 1st, in an article from WMBD/WYZZ, we are given the following piece of information:
Governor Rod Blagojevich is turning to the president elect for help in a billion dollar budget shortfall.
The governor will meet Monday and Tuesday Philadelphia with Barack Obama. Their discussion will focus on Illinois’ $2 billion deficit and how the Land of Lincoln will manage its 2009 fiscal year.
So the two met a few more times not during the course of an hour, or even the course of a day, but over the course of two days.
However, who needs details such as those, here is what Barack Obama said:
“I had no contact with the governor or his office and so I was not aware of what was happening, ” Obama told reporters today in Chicago.
No problem, Barack, we believe you. Just like we believed that guy who stated “‘I did not have sex with that woman”
You can believe what you want, but remember, as of Monday, Rod Blajojevich was an unindicted governor, and as of last night, Jesse Jackson Jr. was a member of the House of Reps unsullied by allegations of corruption… A day is a very long time in politics…
Alas, Obama has now thrown Blagojevich under the bus…
President-elect Barack Obama is calling for Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich to resign. Obama spokesman Robert Gibbs says the president-elect agrees with other prominent politicians that “under the current circumstances, it is difficult for the governor to effectively do his job and serve the people of Illinois.”
Blagojevich was arrested Tuesday, accused of scheming to enrich himself by selling Obama’s vacant Senate seat. The governor has authority to appoint the replacement. He denies any wrongdoing.
