Shameful is not a word sufficient enough to describe Hillary Clinton’s (official) position on Gropergate. I mean, a simple:
“Jon Favreau’s (Barack Obama’s Chief Speech Writer) behavior was grossly innapropriate, and while I condemn his lack of judgement, having met with him and accepted his apology I know it won’t happen again”
would have sufficed, but obviously, speaking ill against Barack Obama or any of his staffers is taboo, so here is the statement she put out:
“Sen. Clinton is pleased to learn of Jon’s obvious interest in the State Department, and is currently reviewing his application,”
I think the statistics for sexual assault speak for themselves, to make light of sexual assault insinuations is pitiful at the very best.
I am glad Hillary is happy. I guess being a feminist and pointing out sexism does have some uses, except when one becomes Obama’s Secretaty of State…
Seems even CNN’s Campbell Brown feels the same way:
While I do not support most of their race based politics, if Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton or Louis Farrakhan were Cabinet Secretaries and saw a picture of Jon Favreau with a blackface character or some other racially insensitive cutout, there would be no peace till Favreau loses his job. There would be no compromise, and no sellout, two concepts Hillary Clinton obviously chooses to pretend she knows nothing about.
Exit question, how long would Jon Favreau last as Barack Obama’s Speech Writer if he was in one of these pictures?

I’m not sure if the guys t-shirt is readable, but it says “Gulf Coast Looter.”
