OK… Obama’s A-G Designee Eric Holder Believes in Regulating the Internet…
November 21, 2008 by PUMA Pundit
Eric Holder, the guy Obama wants to bring in as Attorney-General is of the opinion that the internet ought to be regulated.
I guess that pesky little thing known as the First Amendment does not matter to Obama and his cabinet.
Here’s the interview with Holder, and the First amendment follows immediately after…
The transcript, courtesy of Newsbusters:
The court has really struck down every government effort to try to regulate it. We tried with regard to pornography. It is gonna be a difficult thing, but it seems to me that if we can come up with reasonable restrictions, reasonable regulations in how people interact on the Internet, that is something that the Supreme Court and the courts ought to favorably look at. - May 28, 1999 NPR Morning Edition
The 1st Amendment, couresty of the US Constitution:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.Posted by PUMA Pundit

great reporting, puma pundit. you nailed it again! your ability to take complex legal issues and combine them with a snippet of someone’s views on the matter (9 years ago) is unparalleled.
you’re a clown. forget all the inane posts of these articles, people should be ashamed of puma pundit. why is it that no one who frequents this site - badly behaved, boemery, carmelo junior, fara, sparky, mbander, etc. - ever called him out on his ridiculous ‘prediction’ of a mccain-palin landslide? how can you still respect this guy?
clown. through and through.
i have to share this, because it is relevant to this post. puma pundit is such an advocate of free speech, that s/he started moderating my comments when i had another handle. this is a true story. i used to post under the name just_an_observer. i used to come to this site and engage in ridiculous arguments with zealots like sparky, but then one day i started going after puma pundit because the posts became increasingly shocking. eventually, this clown started moderating my comments.
the comments section is reserved only for hurling insults, concocting conspiracy theories, blaming the media for everything, telling everyone how afraid you are that the united states is going to collapse under obama, and praising sarah palin.
you cannot challenge the puma pundit. moderate me. clown.
sheehy–don’t forget to add blondegenes to the sorry list above.
So speaking of clowns, we haven’t heard from the pervert filthy-mouthed immature sparky lately. Times are a’changin; and it’s nice
Who are the clowns?

GoBozo: Don’t forget to inform the CIA and homeland security about this.
Near as I can figure there are about 4 trolls that think they are clever when they come here as different people; many sites don’t let dissenting opinions on at all because the trolls are such a nuisance; but if you look back over the posts of trolls on this site you have a record of the kind of people who voted for Obama and you have reason to be scared. My post on another thread is awaiting moderation because it posts links to videos. You should see who you keep company with. I think Pundit has shown a remarkable ability to keep this post going as a conversation when the trolls have done their best to bring it down to their level; I would assume that Sparky is doing like the rest of us..preparing for what is to come and/or working to see that this never happens again.
Just-an-Obot….your previous posts. Thanks Pundit for having them available.
i understand that people have come here to ridicule PUMAs and tell you that you’re stupid and retarded. at its core, i find that offensive. i promise that i would never take that approach, regardless of how vehemently i would disagree with you or anyone else on this site or elsewhere. ultimately, i find it counterproductive and narrow-minded. similarly, i think it is an abuse of the anonymity that the internet affords. people say/write whatever
they want without repercussion. that is irresponsible to me .i agree that knowledge and wisdom are not the same. my point, however, still remains. increased education is good for voters to clarify their stance on issues or change their minds. after all, i think that both conservatives and liberals need to ask themselves more often, why do i believe in [insert]? there is no denying that education plays an important role in our ability to question ourselves and others.
sparky - what’s up with calling me out?! i have been nothing but cordial and engaged in my comments. i am not a PUMA, but that doesn’t mean that i’m here to convince anyone about obama. i recognize this is a PUMA site, so i’m not foolish enough to come here and start trying to convert people. please re-read my posts and note that i am not here to spout rhetoric. on the other hand, i’m not here to reinforce the PUMA message, but nor am i here to ridicule or belittle anyone’s position. i’m just here for the exchange and to learn. i’ve had great exchanges with mbander, one4justice, you (sparky), and others on this page.
sparky -
firstly, i had no intention of delivering a back-handed compliment. i do admire your passion and your decision to speak out against obama. you post regularly and are informed. no back-handed compliments.
