During the campaign, here is what Michelle Obama said:
Barack Obama will require you to work. He is going to demand that you shed your cynicism. That you put down your divisions. That you come out of your isolation, that you move out of your comfort zones. That you push yourselves to be better. And that you engage. Barack will never allow you to go back to your lives as usual, uninvolved, uninformed.
Well, our National Orientation Directorate Office of the President Elect had made the following pronouncement

The Obama Administration will call on Americans to serve in order to meet the nation’s challenges. President-Elect Obama will expand national service programs like AmeriCorps and Peace Corps and will create a new Classroom Corps to help teachers in underserved schools, as well as a new Health Corps, Clean Energy Corps, and Veterans Corps. Obama will call on citizens of all ages to serve America, by developing a plan to require 50 hours of community service in middle school and high school and 100 hours of community service in college every year. Obama will encourage retiring Americans to serve by improving programs available for individuals over age 55, while at the same time promoting youth programs such as Youth Build and Head Start
So, let me get this straight:
Middle School Children between the age of 11 to 14 shall be required to do 50 hours of community service a year.
High School Children between the age of 15 to 18 shall be required to do 50 hours of community service a year.
What this simply means is that every child in the United States between the ages of 11 and 18 shall be exposed to whatever ideology that Barack Obama has decided they ought to be exposed to for a minimum of 50 hours a year. But what ideology is this? Well, the answer is not difficult to come by. For an answer, let’s start with a short essay written by William (BIll) Ayers in 1992: The Shifting Ground of Curriculum Thought and Everyday Practice The year after this paper was written, Bill Ayers would conceived and drafted the proposal for the $160 million Chicago Annenberg Challenge whose Board he recruited Barack Obama to chair. Ayers writes: “in a sense, all education is about power.” He wants schools to tackle the question of how students can be “empowered to attain greater liberation, equity, and social justice through schooling?” Wait, what did Michelle Obama say again? Barack will never allow you to go back to your lives as usual, uninvolved, uninformed. So Obama ran a foundation whose goal was to get Chicago’s children involved and informed so they can attain greater liberation, equity and social justice. In other words, he wanted Chicago’s children to be indoctrinated with left-wing dogma during their formative years. The Chicago Annenberg Challenge was incidentally a failure, now this same Barack Obama wants to attempt to indoctrinate all of America’s children with the same philosophy. Rest assured, Obama has no qualms with doing this, afterall, his own children sat through numerous sermons where Reverend Wright was doing the indoctrination. I don’t know about you, but when ALL children in the nation are required to belong to any organization, it is downright frightening. It matters not if these kids have to spend 10 hours or 50 hours a year volunteering to help the needy, engage in community service, or even sing songs to President Obama, point is they will be under the centralized control of the State, and at some point in the proccess whatever indoctrination Obama wants to expose them to, shall take place. Even the Young Pioneer Organization of the Soviet Union did NOT have required membership, and the Sovier Union was a totalitarian state. America, how could we possibly have elected an individual with this sort of agenda to the highest office in the land? Obama will call on citizens of all ages to serve America, by setting a goal that all middle school and high school students do 50 hours of community service a year and by developing a plan so that all college students who conduct 100 hours of community service receive a universal and fully refundable tax credit ensuring that the first $4,000 of their college education is completely free. Obama will encourage retiring Americans to serve by improving programs available for individuals over age 55, while at the same time promoting youth programs such as Youth Build and Head Start.
Sorry to disappoint you Barack, but the cat is already out of the bag.
