Joe Biden gets grilled by the media… His response would make despots everywhere proud…

Good to see that some sections of the media are beginning to ask the kind of questions that ought to be asked.
Hopefully, the tough questions shall soon be asked of Obama himself…
First it was Barbara West of WFTV, Orlando:

Then we had this jem from CBS 3 in Philly…
A few exceprts from the CBS3 Interview:
BIDEN: Whoa whoa, slow up here old buddy…you’re getting this mixed up here with all due respect. This is apples and oranges.
RUSSELL: Obama talks about spreading the wealth around and everyone does better that way…is that not kind of being a socialist… That’s what your accusers are saying here.
BIDEN: No, No, No
RUSSELL: And wouldn’t they just pass that on to the consumer?
BIDEN: Absolutely not…absolutely not.
RUSSELL: Well please explain that.
BIDEN: Absolutely not.
Let’s hope the media increases the pressure over the next few days…

I watched both of the above videos. The tone of voice used by the reporters to ask the questions–especially in the WFTV segment–was calm and interested. There was none of the condescending tone seen / heard in the ABC, CBS, and NBC interviews of Palin, or the tone of various MSNBC luminaries grilling McCain with shouted phrases like “Come on Senator, you don’t expect anyone to believe that, do you?”
The questions in the above videos were all valid, based on what we can learn from the blogosphere, which is where most of the attack narrative used against McCain and Palin in the MSM have come from, so it is fair game to ask Biden about things reported there, too. The Marx / Socialism question is especially valid since Obma himself said that he wanted to redistribute wealth. The questions were much more challenging than Biden is used to, but are nothing like the questions thrown at Palin and McCain several times a day for several weeks.
The questions are also tame compared to what foreign journalists will ask the next administration when they are in power. I suppose that Biden thinks he will be able to order the White House staff to revoke the press credentials for any journalist, even foreign ones, who ask tough questions.
It is no wonder that the Russians are sending eight official observers to monitor USA 2008 elections, and their press corps are decrying the US accusing them of blindly supporting a Russian politburo crony. They counter that the US media is worse today than than Pravda ever was. The Russian government is now questioning the integrity of our elections as the US questioned the integrity of theirs. Objectively, I have to admit that they have a point.
Obama decries how we have lost the respect of the world, and only he can salvage it. More likely, (see PUMA Pundit articles on the following topics), his stealing the Democrat party nomination from Hillary, and now perhaps stealing the election through fraudulent votes, illegal fund raising that produced $650Million to saturate the airwaves with his commercials (including the upcoming 30 minute worship service to the Messiah), and of course the non-stop pounding of the MSM press on anyone who is dares to speak against The One, from Hillary, to McCain/Palin, to “Joe the plumber” is in fact giving the Russians what they need to say “There is the task to take away from America its position as sole interpreter and priest of democracy.”
When Obama said that he would be up by 3-5 points more if it weren’t for Fox News, he never credited his current lead to the relentless pounding of the rest of the media against Hillary, Bush, McCain, and for the last month, Palin.
The audacity of Biden to take umbrage over a few degrees of heat in the kitchen. How despotic of the Obama / Biden campaign to cut access to any news organization that dares to ask a real journalistic question.
I am very afraid of an Obama Theocracy, with what is sure to be a filibuster-proof Democrat Senate, and an overwhelming Democrat majority in the House. I’m not afraid of Democrats in control of the whole government–it has happened before with good results–but I am afraid of Obama and Biden at the head of that government. Obama is no John F Kennedy. He isn’t even a Tip O’Neill. He’s more of a modern “Kingfisher” or just another Chicago Machine politician.
Since I used my real name (and not a screen name) I am also worried that I am about to see my private data all over the news, like Joe the Plumber. I worry that I will be forced to learn that keeping one’s mouth shut, and keeping opinions to oneself is the easiest way to survive in a totalitarian regime. Once the 4th Estate becomes an enforcer of the party-line, individual free speech is soon a thing of the past.
Another thing that bothers me is absolutely no news media reports of what is happening in the voting areas of this country. In Broward County Florida the school administrator encouraged/set up a system for schools to take 18 year old kids out of school and transport them by school buses, during school hours, to voting places to vote. The majority of these kids were minorities. The buses waited three hours for the kids to vote and returned them back to school. There were over 3,600 kids involved. This was done at tax payers expense. The school administrator said the money used was part of their field trip expenses. About a handful of kids expressed their opinion on whom they were voting for and all said Obama. Non seemed to have a clue that anyone else was running. I saw this on CNN news, it was very brief and only ran one time. According to the reporter there were no laws broken (according to the black school administrator). The money was from state funds, yet, there was no outcry by Florida tax payers/or local media about these slimy tactics. I would think 18 year olds would have to adhere by laws the same way adults do. That’s why the polls are open early and late for people that have to work. Since when did our local government start rounding up people to vote and pay for their transportation to and from the polls?
Another glimpse into the Obama Party…. SILENCE DISSENT.
