mbander - explain the tenets of marxism and how obama is a marxist? just b/c you call someone marxist does not make it true. do you honestly believe that more than 50% of america (ie, the bastion of capitalism) support a marxist? you're kidding yourself with that line of attack.

as far as obama's numbers slipping in the polls ... that's actually not true. if anything, they strengthened this last week. i encourage you to visit www dot fivethirtyeight dot com to see what i mean. if you spend some time looking over the posts on that blog, you'll also find a post entitled "PUMAs are dead". bad news for this site ... also, a recent poll found that 81% of hillary clinton's supporters now support obama. that makes the 7 million "strong" claim made on this website.

you can guarantee that the discourse on this page will become increasingly derisive, harsh, and offensive as the election day nears and mr mccain's numbers slip further.

pumakemeill,

One thing this campaign has done for me is to no longer "trust" our representatives just because they have a "D" after their name. I believe our party is being high-jacked by the far left wing. Obama, Reid, and Pelosi represent the worst of this group. Worst thing about them, is the utter contempt they have for us, the electorate. You are right, we need to consider the effect this will have on our children, but I for one, do not believe this group will leave much of a world for our kids. They are more concerned about their own power, than the good of this country that I love.

Therefore, I cannot vote for the Marxist Obama. Happily, he has lost a number of points in the polls since last Thursday, as people wake up to who he really is - and he is NOT the person to represent the JFK Democrats (yes, I am old enough to remember that party), but is a candidate who will take this party to a place that will shock even some of his ardent supporters.

A vote against him is the best way I can think of to take my party back!!

It's true,,I've talked to a lot of people who are so intimidated by Obama's supporters aggressive "in your face" approach, that they are lying to the pollsters about who they are supporting.
Which is just one more reason I don't believe the polls.

The Fat Lady Has Laryngitis...

Last week all I heard about was the end of conservatism and the dawn of a liberal supermajority, and I’ve had enough.
Let’s start the week off right with a few reminders that this election ain’t over yet. Is the presidential race tig...

I would say otherwise. They are saying now that the race is actually quite close. However, it looks like the campaigns of Republicans and Democrats know it much better. McCain's campaign is now trying to defend their own strongholds.

There is no question that Obama is making significant progress in states which voted Republican in previous elections. The electoral vote map is a much better way to see the trend. Not the polls which measure popular vote.

And there is not question that if the elections were held today, Obama will get past 300 electoral votes. This is fact. If you think otherwise, you are just dreaming.
