At times I feel like it's just me against the world...

    Typical anti American rhetoric.

I served 11 years in the military. Served in combat under Bush one and Clinton. Flew into the fog of war many times and survived. Survived while others didn’t.

This is how I obtained my aviation experience which allowed me to now fly in the civilian world.

I ACTUALLY see the world. Talk to the people all over it. I have fought for your freedom. I have had friends die for the very freedom that lets you posts your views.

Really, you have no concept of history, past or present. The world really LOVES AMERICA. You have fallen for the false views of the CNN propaganda machine.

Again, is the line into or out of America?

Again. Hillary NEVER spoke as you do. I NEVER doubted that Hillary LOVED this nation.

I feel like I’m teaching 3rd grade history.

  • Rozathegreat

Oh don’t go getting you feelings all hurt and lashing out at me! So reminiscent of that playground. I miss those days.

That was funny though. What qualifies me as a dummy? Because I don’t agree with you.

The difference is, you’re still that kid. :)

    ~Roza

  • One4Justice

Hillary never would have said that America has “tried the “if you don’t do what we say, we’re gonna blow you up” tactic, and it has only made countries more hostile, so we’ve got to try something else.” She would never have described the US as being the bully, that would “turn nations further against us and prompt another war, not being humble.” You’re a freaking socialist just like Obama. You never were a true Hillary supporter.

Boemery is right: “It’s so clear now from seeing Rozathegreat’s picture, that she is not only president of BHO’s fan club, she’s president of her own. I bet she has a Rozaopolis setup in her house, and her own coins and seal. Why must you toture us PUMA’s? Go play with Lillith and TmCm (or whatever it is), and all the other BHO worshippers on another site. The Glamour Shot picture is giving me a headache. “

  • boemery

Well, GlobeTrotter, to some of these people you are. But I guess they are ‘limited’ and can’t understand.
I had someone ask me why I had a flag in my car. I said in astonishment, ‘what do you mean, I’m not ashamed of the flag’, she said (she’s extremely liberal), “I’m not ashamed either, it’s just that it seems so divisive, it reminds me of the KKK”.
Yes, she actually said that. Now this particular person is a very good person, very tolerant, kind, good-hearted, but it’s that type of anti-American sentiment that is so common these days. Why would I need a reason to fly the flag of the United States. It is the United States that we live in, I love my country and I love that flag. Yes, we make mistakes, like any other country/people, etc., but the principles inherent in the Constitution and the bloodshed which allows for the freedom to question our government (which Thomas Jefferson called the ultimate form of patriotism – I may be paraphrasing) is something to be respected and revered. A symbol, be it a flag or a cross do not in themselves make goodness, but they serve to remind us of the aspiration we should have toward goodness.
God Bless America. God Bless our Troops!

  • Rozathegreat

No disrespect, but times were totally different when you served and when we served. It’s a different day. My husband has 18 months to retire, and even HE says these are the worst times, that he’s seen in the military. And even though I was just an SK(AW) for my 4 years, I did for this country, so don’t you dare tell me I’m unAmerican because I disagree with YOU.

I KNOW our foreign relations get some flack. It’s a fact. Face it.

  • boemery

Well, what certainly qualifies you as annoying is posting that ‘I wish I was in a beauty pageant, that’s why I put vaseline on my lips and am smiling this way’ Glamour shot picture! Lord child, we are serious people here. More evidence of the hubris/narcism with which you identify yourself and your messiah. Please take it off, it’s scary. I had to take another Advil because of looking at it.

  • One4Justice

Yes, boemery. And the anit-american sentiment is most prevalent in the United States, where the Obama socialists act like apologists. Our “tolerance” and “political correctness” has gone so far over to the other side that we now have to practically apologize for our patriotism.

God Bless America, Land that I Love!

Im sure hes just telling you what you want to hear so that you dont cut him off.

Been there done that, seen it from others too.

    Over and out.

  • One4Justice

    LOL @ GlobeTrotter :)

  • Rozathegreat

    One 4 Justice,

You are so easily influenced and it’s such a shame. I have so many opinions of “close-minded” people and haters for that matter like you that I put the picture up to see if I was right about you after your tangents last night. You proved me so right.

The people who are here to debate their positions, stick to just that. And the people who really have nothing important to say, feed off everybody else, and tag-along, and never have an original thought. So they concentrate on things like ragging on pictures.

Everyone that knows me on this blog, knows that I never put a picture up. It’s not really important to me. I put the picture up for the reaction. I was actually hoping that people on this site weren’t petty enough to even bother commenting on it. I was so wrong. But just so I can debunk all of your generalizations, the picture is of a random girl on a website, not me. http://www.jacquelinepagecosmetics.com/looks.html (feel free to click)

But in your words, since a picture “speaks volumes” about that person, perhaps you should change yours to an ass.

    Just a thought.

  • One4Justice

So you lied when you said that you cropped your husband and son out of the picture? (Gasp!)

  • Rozathegreat

Globetrotter, amazingly wrong again. He wanted to NOT reenlist in 2005, but I made the case that with only 5 years to retire, he should just hang in there.

    AND it paid off.

    ~Roza

  • One4Justice

Why are you devoting five paragraphs to me about it anyway, Roza? I’m not the one begging you to take it down and complaining about taking advil because of having to see your alleged mug. I think you’ve gotten kinda fond of me, and you like the attention that I give you ;) That’s why you’d direct your comments to me and not boemery, who’s throwing up in the corner on account of catching another glimpse of ya.

  • Rozathegreat

No I cropped my husband and son out of this picture. I just chose not to post it.

    ~Roza

  • boemery

Oh Roza, you’ve elevated your annoyance of PUMA’s to a level I thought was impossible. omg girl, GET A LIFE!!!!!!

  • Rozathegreat

Well all of my posts with links keep going into moderation, so can;t show that one either.

    ~Roza

  • One4Justice

So GlobeTrotter is right again! Your poor husband didn’t want to reenlist but he did ’cause you told him to. Kinda goes along with GlobeTrotter’s comment that your husband’s just telling you what you want to hear, don’t ya think? Pathetic.

  • One4Justice

boemery, is it just me, or did she just post another bidenism? Did she just say that the picture is not her, and then just say that it is?

  • Rozathegreat

No, he reelisted because he understood what I along with his CO and XO were telling him. When you’ve given 15 years in the military and can retire in 5 more, it doesn’t really make sense to get out and forfeit the benefits.

Plus right after he reenlisted, he made rank, so it paid off. My husband is the man in my relationship, and after thinking about it, he makes saound decisions, so he doesn’t really need to take my word for.

  • One4Justice

Well guys and gals, it’s been fun, but I’m gonna call it a night. Hasta miramos!

  • Rozathegreat

No I’ve annoyed you and O4J on the picture issue. You made yourself look like an ass, not me.

And no, I’m not going anywhere. Because when you 2, go wherever it is that you go, I actually have great politcal converation with other people on this board. I tell them my opinions, they tell me theirs, we talk about it, in true blogging fashion. So perhaps, if you are that annoyed you should just sign off. If not, deal with it dude.

El contexto equivocado, aprende mejor español!

    ~Roza

  • boemery

Wow, you’ve truly crossed over to the dark side. I’m glad your an Obama worshipper, I wouldn’t want you to be associated with the PUMA’s, we might lose support if anyone thought that you were one of us. Yes, keep on your messiah’s side.

  • One4Justice

It was a pun, you idiot. It was a joke about seeing your mug again.

    Leaving now :)

    *poof*

  • Sparky

    Roza – Que Bueno!

Now you are going to force me to brush up on my Spanish! At least you will make my Abuelita happy! :)

  • Rozathegreat

Don’t worry. I wouldn’t want to be associated with your cult either. Yeah you might lose support, your base is pretty wishy washy.

    ~Roza

  • Maggie

This is quite an interesting discussion I must say.

  • Sparky

Roza – I had to laugh at that – Okay – at a certain level – yes “Team Obama” could lean that way – it is not outside the realm of possibilities.

How is that for a yes/no/maybe answer :)

  • Rozathegreat

    Sparky! Usted regresa! Hola mama!

    How’s the studying going?

    ~Roza

  • Rozathegreat

You know I gotta throw one in there every once in awhile. ;)

  • boemery

    Hey Sparky,
Good to hear from you. I don’t understand your post. Anyway, she’s been annoying again. I know you’ve got some sympathy for her, but she is in fact a troller, like the others. Anyway, I’ll be signing off now, great discussions, with one exception, and look forward to more. Remember, information is key, so inform others.
    Best.

  • Rozathegreat

Sparky, we better cool it with the “friendly” Don’t want you to get in trouble with the lynch-mob.

Nite, good luck with the final.

    ~Roza

  • Sparky

Boemery and One4Justice – I thought I had the most “sassiness” on this website – I defer to you both :)

Actually – there was some pretty good quips with all of you.

I’ve turned in one of my finals and I’m a quarter of the way through my PowerPoint Presentation – and look what I came back to – sassy, sassy, sassy conversation – oh where oh where is Mangelo when you need her/him?

On another note Globetrotter – thanks for your service – always appreciated. My son graduated from a military academy in Virginia.

I can not thank the men and women in servie enough.

I’ve been sending out candy care packages out every 3 weeks to my son’s menor in college – he just got promoted to Captain. He’s in Iraq – his 3 tour – he’ll be home permanently in the Spring.

He said the efforts in iraq are going well. Afghanistant needs a little attentionh again.

    Again, thank you.

  • Sparky

Meant ot say son’s mentor (he was his mentor (a Senior – 1st class Officer ) when my son was a rat (4th class officer).

  • Sparky

I really wish this site had a spell check. I type way to fast and have a fast trigger on the submit button.

  • PUMA Pundit

    Roza,

I have no problem with stepping, chanting, or anything else.

As an Alpha, I first got involved with Go To High School / Go To College and Junior Alpha Men in the mid 90s.

However, never, ever have I seen a political agenda injected into the mentoring being done.

It is one thing to say “I am awesome” it is another thing to say “Candidate X is awesome”

In this video, the latter was done, and not the former.

    PUMA Pundit

  • Rozathegreat

    PUMA Pundit, I respect that.

I guess it’s just left up to interpretation.

I did think the “healthcare” spew was a far stretch, because I don’t think at that age, they can fully grasp the importance of that policy. So it did seem as though they were being a little………coached.

But, are you saying that it’s wrong to say “Candidate X inspires me”? Because that is what the kids in this video were saying. And it’s being said all over the country. I think this election has been THE MOST inspirational one we’ve seen since Bobby, and I say that not because of Barack Obama. I’m inspired by him, i’m inspired by Hillary Clinton, and even though I am not a supporter of the McCain-Palin ticket, I am inspired by them as well.

I think the fact of the matter is just that we got two totally different messages out of the video. Agreed?

    Rozalemagne:

Love the pill avatar. The foxy lady one was giving Ms. Palin a run for her money.

I hope it’s not to late to go back to the original idea here. I see a lot of conversation has gone on. My head is all over the place about this. First of all, I have spent many a night sitting on the stoops in the inner city with moms worried that their sons were running with a gang or doing crack. I’ve been in homes where sexual abuse and domestic violence added to poverty and the resulting PTSD gives kids a 1 in 100 chance of making it out of high school. I think as a mom, I would be relieved if my child was finding direction.

This took place in a charter school; most of the ones in the neighborhoods where I hang out are failing academically. What I do like about them though is that often, kids that are raised in chaos do really well with the stricter discipline. You see, even though I’m a nurse, I deplore the over use of psychotropic medications on children (who the hell knows what it’s doing to their developing brains?) Kids I know with various mental health diagnoses ( often originating in that chaos) will suddenly be able to sit still if they are rewarded with the right to wear the school’s ” I was good sweater”. I worry about how this will play out with the whole idea of charter schools. These boys are between 5th and 8th grade. Their brains aren’t developed enough for analyzing what they are hearing. If , as a parent you remember that blessed time when your child(ren) just believed what you said ; It’s followed by the time when you are wrong about everything.
In a sense all kids are indoctrinated by their parents; what you see here is inspiration what others see is indoctrination. All kids are indoctrinated/inspired in school; thus the Pledge of Allegiance. These boys are being inspired/indoctrinated, not to be American but Obomican. How do you think Jane Q. taxpayer will view this and is it so different then what we hear of the dreaded Madrasses?

Let’s look at these boys; I think inspiration is great but it’s a risky thing to inspire them to follow someone who 1.might not be president 2. might end up being not a very good role model after all. Historically, I’m not one to trust the right wing press, so most of my thoughts about Obama come from my own looking into things; You’ve heard them all from me before. One that really bothers me is the Grove Parc stuff. It just seems that Obama did not do right by the poor mostly people of color in Chicago; Take all the other stuff off the table; He let those people down and I’m sure they trusted him because he was ‘like them’.

Something to think about: Everyone has released their taxes for the campaign; By percentage of income Obama and Biden’s contributions to charity were really low ( Biden about 750.00 a year.)compared to Palins and McCains (over 25%. Neither Ms. nor Mr. Obama even chipped in the 3 dollars for the campaign financing that he promised he would use. Obama has raised over 450 million dollars in campaign contributions; he gets to keep any money left over; it will be interesting to see what he does with it.

  • badlybehaved

Video has disappeared from YouTube; are we surprised? Oops! Taupe-man strikes at free speech again?

  • Rozathegreat

    Badlybehaved,

You are too funny! “The foxy lady one was giving Ms. Palin a run for her money.” Good one!

This reminds me of an old commercial. In the late nineties there was a commercial that was a tribute to MLK Jr. It started with a group of adults telling of where they were when the got the news that he was assassinated and then each person told of how he was an inspiration to them. Then it was followed by flashes of children from all over the world, different colors, different accents, one by one shouting “I AM Martin Luther King”. All in all I thought it was a great tribute, but of course at the end of the day, there was controversy. Out of all the things he did, the one thing people got out of why this video shouldn’t be published was that he was a “playboy and cheated on his wife”.

The same thing happened with Bill Clinton’s “Lewinsky” scandal. Even though it was………messed up to say the least, does that disqualify him from being a role model? Does it discount all of the positive things he did in his life. And that’s what I think got lost in this video. Nobody here wants to admit that he has been an inspiration to people all over the world. That’s fine, I just know better.

But you are right in your post. I see inspiration, you see indoctrination. Like I was telling PUMA Pundit earlier, we just got two totally different things from the video.

    ~Roza
