If he did, he would have put Hillary on the ticket. The ironic thing is that Hillary would have advanced his career too, but he was too much of a coward to trust that she would, so instead he went for a good ole boy to bolster him where he felt the public perceived shortcomings. His shortcomings are now obvious, that he uses women instead of advancing them. He talks a good story, but he doesn't walk his talk.
