digilewi - as opposed to what?

Voting for someone with empty promises?

Who hangs around disruptable associates?

Who has no experience?

I'm not sure what question you are really asking based on the above.

It is very interesting how some people on this site talk so bad about Obama and decide to vote for McCain. As if to say McCain is so much better. If you have just been watching this last 2-3 months, that should be enough to discourage you.

How can you actually think the country would be run so much better with McCain and Palin in office. If you are someone who supports and shares the issues of most Democrats, how could you possibly be happy with McCain in office. It sounds like a classic case of "If they don't pick Hillary, we'll show them"

I can't tell you how to vote, but whicever way you vote, I hope you don't regret it.

Angela,

Obama came up through the corrupt Chicago machine - never fought against it, used it to gain a foothold.

As to the radicals - Ayres, Wright, Phleger, are obviously at the top. His association with ACORN is indeed troubling to me.

As to money to friends and supporters I suppose Blackwells company Killerspin (ping pong) got a pretty good return on his money to Obama. (Few hundred thousand) But of course Rezko beat them all hands down - for his contribution (he raised about 250K) to Obama, our buddy Barry helped him secure 14million tax-payer bucks for renovating low-income housing. (which is, just a few short years later - uninhabitable.) But Rezko thinks so highly of Obama that when he turned off the heat in those apartments, citing lack of money, he was able to dig deep into his pockets and give Obama another grand.

Obama inserted a 1 million dollar earmark for his wife's employer. James Crown — a member of Obama’s national finance committee - was the proud recipient of 1.3 million for a high-explosive technology program for the Army’s Bradley Fighting Vehicle at General Dynamics - Crown is on the Board. (Kind of a weird earmark for a guy who thinks we are spending too much on the military) And another $750K to renovate the museum named after Crown's Grandfather. Just a few of my favorites.

As to the Spanish speaking ad, it was so blatantly false even ABC challenged it. Obama accuses everyone of taking things out of context, and yet he did the same thing with that ad. As to McCain, what he said was he heard the American people when they said they want to secure the borders first, THEN talk about immigration reform.

The fact that he has caused a racial divide is evidenced by your continued accusations that the Republican Party is racist. He is not solely responsible for that, but somehow we are being divided on race.

As to the term elitist - it is not about having money, it is believing that your money or education at an elite school, or social status makes you and your opinion automatically better than everyone else. And Obama is just that. He has disdain for most of us. He has told us, that while he succeeded against all odds, the rest of us are not capable of it. While mocking the the stimulus checks we received (which he is now taking credit for) Michelle Obama scoffed, saying what you do with $600 - get a pair of earrings?? I think you would be hurt to find out how little he thinks of you.

But you know, that is just my opinion - and how could anyone take me seriously - after all I am living in a small town in Iowa. Please forgive any typing errors - it is hard to do this while I am clinging to my gun and my bible, and keeping an eye out the window for people who aren't like me.
