    Hi Will,
What do you think about Hillary Clinton dropping out of protest?

Palin Camp Reacts to Clinton Dropping out of Protest
    by Shushannah Walshe
    Cleveland, OH –-

Senator Clinton has backed out of a protest scheduled for next week across the street from the United Nations. The rally will protest Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s speech to the United Nations General Assembly next week. Governor Palin is also schedule to speak and Tracey Schmitt, Palin spokeswoman put out a statement in reaction to Clinton dropping out:

“Governor Palin believes that the danger of a nuclear Iran is greater than party or politics. She hopes that all parties can rally together in opposition to this grave threat.”

Even though the statement does not mention Clinton by name it is clearly a jab. Yesterday, we reported that Governor Palin would be traveling to New York to meet with world leaders during the U.N. General Assembly.

  • WasHRCnowPalin

I don’t really see it as a jab… more of an exhortation from one professional to another….

Personally I wish Hillary did not drop out…. but she has been off her game lately… even her speeches lack passion and she looks tired and under duress. I wish she would just let this sexist joker Baracko twist slowly in the wind…. and kick back and start her campaign for 2012 on November 5th, 2008.

    Go Sarah 2008!! Hillary 2012!!!

  • One4Justice

I don’t see it as a jab either, but I also wish Hillary did not drop out. Hillary has been very careful to be diplomatic and to not attack Palin, even though Obama would like for her to. I wonder if Hillary was concerned that if she went, the media would “interpret” things she said, her body language, etc, in a way that Hillary did not intend, e.g., as an attack on Palin, and decided it was just better for all concerned not to go……

Go Sarah 2008!!! Go Hillary 2012!!!

Thank you for your response but I respectfully disagree. By dropping out of protest simply because paline is attending is a bad move on her part. I think she is overplaying this “Party Unity” charade!
I just don’t understand why she decided to cancel such an important event just because Paline is attending. I think by doing so, she will be alienating some of her loyal supporters.
Below is an excerpt from FOX News article:
“Halperin, who is Jewish and called Clinton ‘a far better candidate’ for Democrats than Obama, suggested that her actions could backfire on the Democratic ticket.
“Jews traditionally vote Democratic, and if a major Democratic leader does not join in the fight against Iran, where are those voters going to go?” he asked. “It’s problematic from the very point of view that says you have a national political leader who fundamentally is choosing not to stand up against Ahmadinejad.
“It changes my view of [Clinton's] wisdom, of her ability to take a situation, analyze it and come out on the right side, and that is deeply troubling to almost every voter in America, not just Jewish voters,” Halperin said, adding that Clinton’s move “is the kind of thing” that could tip voters toward McCain.”

  • One4Justice

According to Halperin, if Clinton doesn’t go on behalf of the Democrats, then the Democrats risk losing the Jewish voters. Do you suppose that secretly in her heart, Hillary really doesn’t want Obama to win? She sure has been a good sport about the whole thing, and has done everything that could be expected of her to unify the party (unlike Obama), but I just wonder.

  • WasHRCnowPalin

I don’t know…. I just don’t think there was that much thought behind her pulling out…. like I said Hillary is not at the top of her game these days….. she needs to stop compromising her principles before this sexist who diss’d her… she is better than that and she is better than him. Supporting Obama is not good for her or her image… every speech she gives for him makes it look like she is a conformist….

Hillary, don’t do it. You already gave more than your share to the party elite and to Obama. Don’t prostrate yourself before this delusional ego-maniac ever again.

Go Sarah 2008!! Go Hillary 2012!!1

Senator Hillary Clinton announced today a new grassroots effort to get her supporters to fall in behind one-time rival Barack Obama.

“As we continue to read the headlines about our troubled economy, the stakes of this election only get higher. Today I am asking all of you to hit the phones, hit the road, and spread the word that we must elect Barack Obama President and we must send a filibuster-proof majority to Congress,” Clinton said in a statement.

“This is a call to action. We all have a role. And there is not a moment to lose,” added Clinton, who is attending a private event today in Boston. “Tell them that Hillary sent you.”

The effort is being organized by Clinton’s political action committee, in conjunction with Obama’s campaign and other Democratic campaigns, and will launch Saturday morning at her PAC’s website, where there will be information on canvassing, phone banking, blogging, and other activities.

Each weekend, the effort will focus on a different battleground state, starting Sept. 27-28 in New Hampshire. Pennsylvania is scheduled for Oct. 12-13. She won both states during the primaries.

Well, she is not at the top of her game…. she sold her soul to the devil at the DNC convention… she has not been the same since…

She needs to take some time away from this and start her come back after the election…

    Go Sarah 2008!!!!

  • badlybehaved

Hillary can’t fix what she didn’t break.

  • WasHRCnowPalin

Exactly,,, yet she is trying and she needn;t give Obama the time of day…..

  • badlybehaved

    Was HRCnow Palin,
—- is mad about something; she yelled at me too. For the same thing. Never seen a person who can yell so well in writing.Your comments always have a lot of thought and I sure appreciate them. I was talking to a friend in another PUMA Group today and she says there’s places to stay in Pennsylvania to stay. I traveled to campaign for Hillary and had a great time dong it..She also said there is a numbers list out there.

This is a question and I think this is the right place for it. It seems the best for America if Hillary becomes the Senate Majority Leader which would then give her the power to limit Pelosi-Obama. There is a lot of talk about her being offered the VP spot on the Obama ticket. I’m certainly not assuming that is true, but in the nature of speculation, what would she do? Does she have a good chance of becoming Majority Leader? Would she not seek being Majority Leader over being VP with Obama. Any thoughts?
