At times I feel like it's just me against the world...

He can spend, spend, spend and spin, spin, spin – but moderate Americans are smart enought not to vote for him and it is showing!!!!!

  • GAPEACH

has palin answered any questions yet? or is mccain still speaking for her? as a strong, educated woman i would like to hear what she has to say for herself.

    WOWWWWWWW! UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!

The Republicans were facing the “perfect storm” in this year’s election with
    1. 8 years of Bush
    2. Slow economy
    3. Rising gas costs
    4. Iraq war

This election could not have been set up any better for the Democrats. So what happens….

    1. Democrats fight among themselves for a history making candidate (Hillary or Obama) splitting the faithful
    2. Obama barely wins nomination with much bitterness among Hillary supporters
    3. Obama believes all the the “press clippings” regarding his greatness and assumes the Oval office is his once Hillary is eliminated.
    4. Obama shuns Hillary for VP and picks Biden

McCain sees big picture and goes against conventional wisdom and chooses the “only” GOP candidate that can ….
    1. Excite the base
    2. History making GOP ticket (1st woman VP candidate)
    3. Renew interest in women voters
    4. Attract “Reagan Democrats”
    4. Allow McCain to be the “maverick” that he embraces

Obama used JFK campaign as a “blueprint” for success. Obama campaigned followed it perfectly including the massive display in Denver.
EXCEPT FOR THE LAST AND IMPORTANT STEP IN CHOOSING THE VP!

JFK chose his bitter rival LBJ unify the party and insure win. Obama belived the press clippings and chose Biden.

Obama had the election won and lost it in one bonehead move! Democrats have no one to blame but themselves.

    Exactly Moni!

GAPeach – The fact database not only shows the deficiencies for McCain, but also NObama.

Seriously, at the end of the day, you want to look at who is better qualified to lead the country.

Look at the character of each person involved in this race.

Yes, yes, I know that you want Sarah to prove herself -being a strong woman – from one to the other – but have you really looked at Biden’s character.

Not even the Democratic party likes him or the voters. No one trusted him then, nor do they trust him know. He is the third most liberal voter in the Senate. Nobama is right there with him.

Their viewpoints may be too liberal for the moderate base voters – Republican, Democrat and Independents.

I’m finding this rather scary. After 8 years of Bush we’re putting in office another Republican. Never thought I’d see the day I would have to choose a Republican over any Democrat. Part of me is hoping this can be fixed but I don’t see how. If Senator Obama is counting on Hillary, he needs to realize that she can’t fix what she didn’t break. My hope is that John McCain’s basic honorable character and Ms. Palin’s as of yet, unproven strengths will not be too disastrous. They couldn’t be any worse than Bush.
Senator Obama and the DNC have only themselves to blame. I don’t know why they did what they did but my guess is that after Bush got (jaw-drop) re-elected they decided they had to win at any cost and felt that Senator Clinton was too polarizing and risky; Senator Obama had such a skimpy record that maybe people would have very little to attack him on but that same record also means inexperience. I only hope the DNC will spend the next 4 years taking stock of themselves.

Isn’t it amazing fellow PUMAs that Renshaw and company don’t have the guts to comment on this section.

Atleast GAPeach, knowing that she didn’t have a leg to stand on posted anyway.

The remarkable side story to this year’s presidential election is how useless this Congress has become. Representative Dr. Michael Burgess of Texas estimates the actual days that the Congress will be in session before the November election is between 10-20 days. Senator Mitch McConnell is disturbed by the number of circuit court judge vacancies there are because Congress refuses to hold confirmation hearings. Dr. Burgess believes the only piece of legislation that may be addressed before this election is the Columbia Free Trade agreement, as the Dems don’t want to see the first possible piece of legislation to go before an Obama presidency to be a free trade agreement, as Senator Obama position on free trade has been muddled.

Differences in positions are part of the deal in Congress, but refusal to work or hold hearings is irresponsible. Speaker Pelosi has refused to hear the House energy bill, which has support with both conservatives and moderates as it takes a ‘do everything’ approach to help produce more energy, reducing gas and oil prices. As Dr. Burgess stated the Democratic leadership does not want to see any new laws passed that might make the Bush administration look good. Therefore, they stick the American people for their own political gain. Last session was known as the ‘Do nothing’ Congress, but as Dr. Burgess pointed out this has been the least effective Congress in recent history, and has taken on the moniker of the ‘Please do something’ Congress.

what you don’t seem to realize is that i have nothing to hide. i like websites that tell BOTH sides of the story. not just the crap YOU make up. you are quite funny in pointing out that these websites have information about BOTH candidates and not just one. yes i knew this too. reading is fundamental. what you were supposed to realize is that BOTH of the candidates say things about each other that isn’t always true. i think you don’t understand that i don’t have personal issues with any of the candidates the way that you do. i want the entire story and not just your very biased version. that’s what being an informed voter is all about. you might want to try it out sometime.

all of the candidates are doing something FOR their country. they are all putting themselves out there because they have their own ideas on how to make this country better. which is more than you are willing to do. you sit behind the anonymity of your computer screen and use tactless bashing.

but you actually HATE obama. when it’s really not that serious. so much so that you make up dumb crap. obama’s a socialist? on what basis did you get that information? michelle is a racist? although she is the victim of racism (did you not read the article that i posted about her freshman roommate not wanting to be her roommate because she didn’t want to live with a black person. nevermind that she got into princeton just like she did. she was more concerned about her color. as though it would have bleed onto her). and you even posted on this website the explanation for her senior thesis. you read the truth and then interpret something totally different.

i don’t see you posting the inadequacy of mccain and palin. because mccain has shady friends as well (ie. ralph reed, giuliani). mccain has been in the sentate for over 20 years and he hasn’t tried to change anything about it. so why all of a sudden now? oh because it’s election year and you are supposed to make empty promises. especially since he doesn’t see anything wrong with how it’s being run now. palin doesn’t speak the truth (ie. bridge to no where, the plane NOT selling on ebay). you have a lopsided rant. you are quite bitter. you are in love with someone that you don’t even know. you know nothing about mccain and nobody knows anything about palin (they still won’t let her answer ANY questions). you supported hilliary only because she has a vagina. but you feel so unsure of yourself to just say that. instead so if you feel that your livelihood under mcpalin will be better then go for it. continue to use this platform to spew things that are not true behind a computer screen :) just know that the people who are smart enough to read know better ;)

    So, Gapeach,

If you have “nothing to hide,” why not give your name? You say you want “both sides of the story,” but I think you’ve already written the ending. Yet, you are an “informed voter.” Why, then, are you on this site? I think your mind is a closed book. You are an “Obot,” probably young, passionate, and delusional. Some call it idealism. However, we on this site deal in reality. Although often not as pleasant, it is usually more accurate.

You also say that you are “smart enough to know better.” Well, if you vote for Obama in November, you will prove yourself wrong…because there really are many people “out there” who actually are “smart enough to know better” than to vote for such an empty suit as Obama. I suppose on November 4th, we’ll find out how many “smart” people there actually are in America.

p.s. Maybe you should just read the DNC emails. They send them every day to me…just looking for money and my vote. I delete all of them anymore, without even looking at them. As Stevie Nicks would say, “All the same/All the same.”
