To whom it may concern:
We, as supporters of Hillary Rodham Clinton, are alarmed by the vile denigration of Sarah Palin and her family by unsavory elements of the media glitterati and the fringe left. These sensationalist bigots attack Gov. Palin’s motherhood, insinuating that she cannot achieve what male Vice-Presidents have done for decades in balancing family life and executive duty. We wonder why this has never been asked of John McCain, father of seven; Barack Obama, father of two; nor of Joe Biden, who began his Senate career as a widowed father of two.
Sexism from the chattering classes diminishes Gov. Palin’s successful gubernatorial experience, ignoring her credentials as an executive who managed a $10million budget and her record as a reformer who fought the good-ole-boys in her own party and won. We wonder where the outrage was when John Edwards – a one-term Senator with no foreign policy credentials or executive experience – ran for Vice-President and President. We wonder also why the media does not question the inexperienced Obama – who has spent his single Senate term running for President.
We stop our wondering when we note that Gov. Palin is a woman while these others are men.
Moreover, the use of Gov. Palin’s special-needs child and pregnant daughter as bludgeons to diminish their mother horrifies us. Ham-handed schlock artists in the press – prominent among them NBC’s Andrea Mitchell, CNN’s Campbell Brown, herself the unapologetic working mother of an infant child, and the New York Times’s sewage spewing Maureen Dowd – are practitioners of the most loathsome kind of ‘journalism’ imaginable. Their juvenile, sexist political analysis belongs in the gutter or in a boys bathroom stall – not in mainstream discourse.
The hateful treatment of Gov. Palin proves that the liberal establishment has learned nothing from our much-publicized journey with Sen. Clinton. We are upset that continued abuse of female candidates leaves us in the unenviable position of rallying around one who holds many views antithetical to our own. But whether the candidate in question is progressive or regressive, we are unable to tolerate sexist attacks which turn our stomachs and cheapen the discourse.
We challenge politicians to stand with male and female Hillary Democrats as they failed to do during the primary season. Democrats and Republicans must unequivocally assert that attacks on any woman candidate focused on gender and not on her record must immediately cease. They must reject and denounce sexist rumor mills like the Daily Kos, Huffington Post, and any other smear monger in the press.
We will be watching closely over the next two months. Our pleas for decency cannot be met with just more silence. We urge that sexist attacks against Gov. Palin be shut down forthwith – removing the politics of identity, grievance, and prejudice and allowing all to refocus on ideas, qualifications, and character.
Otherwise, if need be, we are prepared to use the ballot box to make a final statement against hatred of women.
We are saddened that it has come to this.

Truth is beautiful. God bless you for standing up against sexism and hypocracy that is so redibly accepted by the masses through media outlets.
You do know that Rush Limbaugh, Hillary Hater #1, possibly the world’s greatest misogynist, and user of such terms as “femi-nazi”, supports the McCain/Palin ticket, right?
How are you going to make a statement AGAINST hatred of women by voting WITH Rush Limbaugh?
That was worded beautifully. As a woman I can’t believe what has been going on recently. After being told so often the media was ‘just doing their job’, I am glad not to be the only one outraged. I would probably not be so astonished if the media would have published the same thorough and tenacious reports about Barack Obama.
Yes, stand up for sexism by voting for the ticket that would deny your right to reproductive rights and deny you by law equal pay for equal work. Yes, vote for the woman who, although having a special needs child herself, took funding away from the public school system in Alaska for special needs children. By all means, vote for John McCain who voted AGAINST any funding for the benefits of any of the female veterans of Iraq benefits such as the GI Bill (he included the male vets as well in that swipe). Yes, this is the ticket to vote for folks.
People have asked me why I am here on this site. You see, I supported Hillary and her ISSUES. I do not think Hillary got any more of dragging through the media that Palin or Obama or Biden or McCain has gotten. Why do we always think that OUR candidate is the candidate getting the short shrift.
Hillary lost the election. Pure and simple.
Sarah Palin, by the way, is not running for president. McCain is. And it is his record that needs to be challenged against Obama. The way you all go on around here, Palin should be on the top of the ticket and not McCain. You all make no sense.
I hope were outrage when McCain called Hillary’s daughter UGLY and imply she was someone else daughter not Bill. I hope you were outrage when Rush said Hillary was whinning about the press and claiming the big boys were being mean to her. I hope you were outrage when Rush told Hillary to retrive back into her Apron. I hope you were Outrage when Hillary was called a Bitch on the GOP radio. this is just a little amount of the fox news commentators said about Hillary Jon Stewart of comedy central has some video clips.
Sarah is good and superior over MAObama!! His energy strategy is to protect caribou breeding while we increase our dependance on foreign oil. Listen to this sound energy strategy from Sarah:
“Energy security is one of the great issues in this presidential campaign, and I look forward to debating it. Our opponents keep saying that drilling will not solve all of America’s energy problems — as if we didn’t already know that. But the fact that drilling won’t solve every problem is no excuse to do nothing at all. Starting in January, in a McCain-Palin administration, we’re going to lay more pipelines and build more nuclear plants, create jobs with clean coal, and move forward on solar, wind, geothermal, and other alternative sources. We need American energy resources, brought to you by American ingenuity, and produced by American workers.”

Wow, I was hoping this PUMA thing was a joke. Supporting a woman that is the antithesis of Hillary Clinton. Wow, this is sad. But other than that, I think that this country deserves McCain/Palin.
I now officially support McCain/Palin. Their outspoken message of change can no longer be denied. After years of allowing victims of rape and incest to terminate what could be constant reminders of their horrific experience, we finally have leaders with the courage to force these women to relive their nightmare every day with a physical manifestation of the product of (what was probably their own fault anyway.) What I mean is that every life is a miracle. (Now, I won’t support the welfare to pay for all those miracles… But I swear I really believe every life is a miracle.) And global warming… Really?!! Just because the majority of the most brilliant minds on earth believe that global warming is factual doesn’t mean we should actually buy into that liberal nonsense. Those beliefs could interfere with drilling and the oil companies are desperately hurting. The last few years are only the first years EXXON-MOBIL has had the highest recorded profits of any company in history… Further we need to protect the wealthiest people in America from having to pay more on their taxes.

Here’s how the average tax bill could change in 2009 if either John McCain’s or Barack Obama’s tax proposals were fully in place.
..tr> ..table>..table> ..tr>..table>..tr>..table> As you can see from the data below, McCain will save those making 2.9 million and above over 250,000 more than they currently save on their tax returns. And clearly the economy has benefited from these tax policies. There have been far more billionaires “made” in the last 8 years than there have impoverished people moving above the poverty line. And everyone knows that when the rich get richer, the poor get poorer, and THAT is GOOD for the economy. Further, almost every other country we consider an “ally” has John McCain’s approval in the low 20’s and Barack Obama in the high 80s. But we are America! We don’t need the “approval” of other countries. It’s not like we rely on them for anything. I mean we can police the world by ourselves quite well, thank you. (China is excepted of course. We won’t pay attention to your human rights violations, don’t worry
But honestly, what has convinced me most of all to vote McCain/Palin is that Obama is a secret Muslim terrorist Anti-Christ who won’t wear a flag pin or say the pledge of allegiance. I have even heard that he drinks blood and eats white babies. Instead of pursuing a career in law as he is Harvard educated and was the President of the Harvard Law Review, ( What??? He could have made lots of money and chose not to, that is so Anti-American) he chose to work as a “community organizer” (HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Thank you for pointing that out Gov. Palin.)
trying to help impoverished citizens in downtown Chicago.
So I thow my full support behind McCain/Palin. This ticket is most certainly what this country deserves~!

Funny, I keep trying to post this but it keeps disappearing. I thought when I registered I was given permission to post on this board. My comments are no more inflamatory as the ones above me.
Wow, first time here. I am astonished, saddened and mostly sickened. I thought I was coming to a site that would empower women and what I find is a chick fight, trashing of other posters and support for a woman that the only thing I have in common with is glasses.
I don’t agree with anything about the Republican party. They think women are a joke as is evidenced by the selling game they did on the Governor of Alaska. Sadly, she is so wrapped up in her pseudo-power she didn’t see the hit job. She is becoming a laughing stock of not only men but women now. Seriously, do we need a man saying he will vote for Palin because she is “hot” or vote for the MILF. Let’s reduce her to just reproduction and her sexual prowess. Let’s teach our daughters that they don’t need to go to Stanford, Harvard, or anyother prestigious school but hang on the coat-tails of some dope, pretend to take on the “big boys” and tell everyone that it’s great to get a 4 year degree in 6 years with 5 schools. Let’s not empower our young women that men will take advantage of them but more of the thinking that you can get knocked up and the redneck will marry you and do the right thing while you are stuck at home with the baby and he is out playing hockey with the boys. Will he have the insurance to insure a safe and protected birth since he is a high school drop out or is this saying that if Mommy and Daddy support you then it’s ok. If she weren’t the daughter of the Governor would she waiting in the parking lot of the hospital waiting to be admitted but not too soon as to use up what little insurance she may have had. Or, is that only the trashy girls that do that?? The rest of the them are supported and protected by their loving parents who will surround her with love about her mistake. The fact that Rush is a fan of hers is enough to scare me the other way. He is a pig who hints that John Edwards wouldn’t have strayed if Elizabeth had done her “job”. There were so many other qualified Republican women who could have done the job but they chose to have the hot one. Doesn’t anyone see that they are just being used. . . again and again and again. Let’s make sure Viagra is covered under insurance but not birth control cause that’s her problem. Let’s teach our girls that they should learn to cook and clean and not open their own businesses with a loan that they would get from the Dems or buy a house on their own, or a car because they need a man to do it and the Republicans will take care of you as long as you are “hot”. Let’s teach them not to bother spending 30 years fighting for women’s rights like Hillary but snag the skirt of the bimbo who has almost no experience, doesn’t read, and thinks that they Russians are flying over Alaska. Let’s vote for the chick who hunts and kills and encourages the killing of wolves by offering a ransom for a left paw.
I may not like Obama but I am a true Democrat and will vote the party line. After Barack wins, then it is the time to take what is ours. Hillary deserves to have her party in power NOW, not wait until 2012 and then start all over. I personally don’t have any time left to see what else the Republicans can screw up or screw over.
P.U.M.A. is a joke and I plan on telling everyone that I meet so.
While I am waiting to see if my last post gets posted, I was thinking that I don’t plan on leaving this site, just trying to get my head around the posts that are here. What is with the hatred toward a Democrat? I don’t care if it’s Obama or Hillary or Biden do you really agree more with the Republican party than the Dem?
If that truly is the case, then I would venture to say that you are not Democrats or Republicans just skirt chasers trying to get a woman elected because Hillary has absolutely NOTHING in common with Sarah Palin.
Is there a rational post that someone can direct me to that explains this site and the women on it?
