P.U.M.As Representin’ @ the RNCC…

To think you thought we only exist in cyberspace? Ey?

Carly Fiorina (former HP CEO) held a press conference earlier today to introduce the Citizens for McCain Coalition (a fancy name for P.U.M.A ;-), a group of Democrats and independents who supported Hillary but now plan to vote for John McCain in November.

Of the six prominent Democrats who joined Fiorina,  one was a Democratic Party fundraiser, two are elected Democrats, and one is former Clinton-era ambassador to OPEC. All six stated how disillusionment with Barack Obama made them support McCain (whom they rightly consider a moderate), of course Obama’s lack of experience was also a major issue.

The six were:

• Ambassador Mark Erwin
• John Coale, former fundraiser for both Clintons (I believe he has personally donated close to 6 figures to democratic candidates and causes in the last 365 days)
• Silver Salazar, Hispanic community leader in Colorado
• Brian Golden, former state representative from Boston and an Iraq War veteran
• Jennifer Lee, a Hillary Clinton campaign worker from California
• Cynthia Ruccia, women’s rights activist and former Congressional candidate from Ohio.

Coale, Lee, and Ruccia specifically touched on the sexism of the Obama campaign and the Democratic party in this election.
