Great summary. Our greatest challenge is not only the diversity, but also comming up with a direction that we want to take this.

I would love to be talking in person to people who share my concerns at some point.

Just throwing out ideas.. I would really love to have a vehicle whereby I could donate money to other Democrats on a national scale who are commited to fixing the flawed primary process and creating vehicles to create positive action for the differing factions of people who you have inspired to come together.

I also favor positive energy and don’t want to focus solely on the our percieved shortcommings of the other candidates, but rather the positive steps that can by taken by people who just didn’t like what happened. for myself I followed some of the links and forked over small token sums so far, but look forward to more focused giving opportunities.

I have tried to ask what PUMA actually stands for, what policies it supports, why its members voted to Senator Clinton in the first place, etc, etc. Your post (and your previous lack of answers to questions from me and others as to what you actually stand for) makes clear that your efforts are only about defeating Senator Obama — and only because your chosen candidate lost. You don’t care one bit about what happens to the country in the next 4 years, what McCain would actually do in office or anything else it seems.

People who come to this site should all remember what Ralph Nader “accomplished” and put your efforts in the exact same category.

You are petulant little children, and if you ever become adults you will look back on your actions with shame.

My comment was NOT directed to AndyShep, who seems to actually want to accomplish something positive.

In order for Obama to have “stolen” the nomination from Clinton, it is a necessary condition that Clinton must have at some point had the nomination clinched. Can you point me to a time when that was the case?

dvs, she had locked in all the key states. She had 18M voters. Obama won because his team pulled an old “Chicago” style politics and persuaded the Super Delegates to vote for Obama. If she had the Super Delegates she would be the nominee now, not a 145 day marxist Senator.

I’m not sure why you’re throwing around the 18 million number. Popular vote has no relevance in elections, as I’m sure you learned in 2004, or perhaps even in 2000. For all I know Obama got 20 million votes. If you do happen to have a reliable source showing how many votes total Obama got, I’d be interested in seeing it. But only as a mere curiosity, because even if he got 16 million, it doesn’t matter. Delegates is what matters.

On to your point about how she had “locked in all the key states”? She didn’t. She had locked in a few key states, at no point ever was she ahead of senator Obama in delegates.

Everyone who was watching the primaries OBJECTIVELY knew hilary was finished in early April. Shit happens in elections. It happened in 2000 with Bush and it happened again in 2004 with Bush. Did you see John Kerry crying about how he was cheated (he actually WAS cheated) out of his presidential position? No, he took it like a man and stepped aside because anything else would have been harmful to the nation and the democratic process.

Woulda coulda shoulda, the only person to blame is Hilary for running a poor campaign. For the record, I voted for her in my own state’s primary and I’ll vote for her again in 2016. But her campaign’s strategy was awful, and hopefully she’s learned her lesson.

dvs you actually confirmed my answer. Delegates is what matters. Michigan and Florida belonged to Hillary. His name wasn’t even on the ballot in Michigan. He managed to take those states. Florida will not vote for him. You can have all the Super delegates and delegate you want, come November it will be the voters that count.

    She will be vindicated.
