First Official AD featuring a PUMA…
August 25, 2008 by PUMA Pundit
Debra Bartoshevich made national headlines when she publicly announced her support for John McCain after Obama was declared as the “Chosen One” before the primaries even ended. The Wisconsin Democratic Party kicked her out of the state delegation for her bold statement. Well, Debra is back, and dare we say, stronger than ever. The McCain camp is featuring her in a new ad. While most PUMAs are not necessarily voting for McCain, we sure as heck aren’t voting for an Obama ticket.

AD Soundtrack:
I’m a proud Hillary Clinton Democrat. She had the experience and judgment to be President. Now, in a first for me, I’m supporting a Republican, John McCain. I respect his maverick and independent streak, and now he’s the one with the experience and judgment. A lot of Democrats will vote McCain. It’s okay, really!

“It’s okay, really!” says Debra.
She goes on to say at the press conference, “Going back to 1999, John McCain did an interview with the San Francisco Chronicle saying that overturning Roe v. Wade would not make any sense, because then women would have to have illegal abortions.”
Yeah, Debra. If you go back to 1999, that was indeed what John McCain said. However, he’s since evolved on a few issues. He now says, “I do not support Roe versus Wade. It should be overturned.”
