P.U.M.A Voters number 4.5 Million (minimum) Nationwide According to ABC Poll…

Among Democrats who supported Hillary Clinton for president, about one in four, 24 percent, prefer McCain over Obama, and 13 percent pick someone else or say they wouldn’t vote. Those are essentially unchanged from an ABC/Post poll last month, before Clinton suspended her campaign and offered Obama a fulsome endorsement.

Hmmm. 25% of 18 million comes to over 4 million voters. If Obama doesn’t see the writing on the wall, we’ll be very happy to tell him what it says: Come January 20th, 2009, President McCain would take residence in the White House…

Exit Question: As a P.U.M.A Voter, what would it take for you to vote for Obama?

I will consider voting for him only if Hillary is his VP; and even then it’s going to be difficult. And that’s the good news for him. If he continues to initiate decisions that embarass or disrespect Hillary (i.e. hiring previously fired Hillary campaign employees) I won’t only not vote for him I will vote for McCain.

Nothing. I never will. I would not vote for Obama for school board.

I am an Independent that was willing to vote for Hillary! Well, there is no way I will EVER vote for Obama! It is not racial as so many people would love for it to be, it is about his INEXPERIENCE and AROGANCE! I am very UPSET and WILL NOT change my mind! There is NOTHING the DNC can say now to change my mind! They betrayed Hillary and left her high to dry – sorry, I didn’t like that! They BEGGED her to run and then chose another LESS qualified! UNFORGIVEABLE

Hillary as VP.

#6 iam0nly1 on 06.18.08 at 7:27 pm

This is great news.

It’s definitely a minimum. Think of all the people who couldn’t attend their caucuses, all the people who couldn’t make it to the polls during the primary. There are still 100 million voters who haven’t been heard from, and I’d argue millions of them are PUMA voters.

#7 pasmalltowngirl on 06.19.08 at 6:44 pm

THIS PUMA VOTER WILL NOT EVER VOTE FOR OBAMA, NOT EVEN WITH HILLARY ON THE TICKET.

I WILL ABSOLUTLY VOTE FOR JOHN MCCAIN.

OUR COUNTRY AND THE REST OF THE WORLD IS IN VERY TROUBLING TIMES.

OBAMA IS BASICALLY AN UNKNOWN UNEXPERIENCED MAN, WHOM HAS MANY QUESTIONABLE ASSOCIATES.

OBAMA CHANGES HIS VIEWS AND POLICIES DAILY.

I WILL VOTE FOR MCCAIN, EVEN THOUGH I MIGHT NOT AGREE WITH ALL OF HIS POLICIES, AT LEAST I KNOW WHO HE IS AND WHAT TO EXPECT.

NOBAMA NOW OR EVER

Well, I’m not really a Pumacrat, as I’m an Independent, but I would never ever ever vote for Obama. Even if he was up against Hitler or Stalin, I’d just vote 3rd party (and probably stock up on guns and ammunition). As an Independent, I felt almost equally pulled between Clinton and McCain, so it didn’t bother me too much to jump to the other party.

Give HIllary Veep position and a portfolio of her choosing if you win.
Obama has done absolutely nothing for disaffected feminists in this race. Indeed he could care less. To say nothing of the fact that he said nothing to counter the sexist attacks on HRC by the media. It suited him to say nothing. As of now I am writing in HRC

If 4 million PUMA voters use the power of vote cancellation, they have double their effect on the election. When a person who would normally vote for a Democrat switches their vote to McCain, then Obama effectively loses TWO votes!

We are so strong in numbers and yet, and still, the MSM write us off as, “they will come around”. I am sick of hearing it… All of the great NOBO sites (minus Google) Ha!, We are not being taken serious enough. I call all of us who are voting for McCain (”hate the war, love the warrior”) or those of us who are undecided on what choice to make, please go to the McCain site and let your presence be known. Join in on the big donation campaign for McCain…RAIN MCCAIN 4th of July. Add .44 to your donation to show everyone that we won’t back down, we won’t give up and we won’t fall in line…..Keep up the great work people.PUMAs ROCK!

Nothing. Obama will NEVER EVER get my vote. I will vote for McCain. (but of course we are working hard to get Hillary back on the ballot) Even if John McCain becomes a crazy racist who starts to do poorly on the issues, I will not vote Obama.

I was appalled by the DNC’s treatment of Clinton – Pelosi & Dean were biased from the get-go and didn’t really even conceal it. Their impartiality was at the very least unprofessional therefore they should now resign their positions.

Obama just isn’t ready to lead – he jumped the gun because Axelrod massaged his ego and let him think he was the coming Messiah. He’s just not ready. Moreover his arrogance – ‘You’re Nice Enough Hillary’ is childlish and hardly Presidential. Obama has been given a pass because too many people are unwilling to question his ability. It’s white liberal guilt so we allc ontinue to suffer from past history

So now he picks Broing-Biden….the Dems just don’t deserve to win this year. It could have been theirs for the taking but ironically the party of liberalism and forward-thinking has proven to be anything but. The Dems just got tangled in the psychology of the repercussions of the slavery.

The sad this – is that Obama did seem to be a man of potential – but he jumped the gun and decided instead of building his resume to slide on the thinnest of records. Makes one queasy…

PUMAs are whiners? If feeling that enough is enough makes us whiners….then bring it on. Real change requires experience, not two to try and make up for the experience of one that they are forcing on the sidelines. Women are tough and over the next few weeks you will have the opportunity to see graceful endurance as only the female of the species can demonstrate. Hillary is still a candidate so McCain supporters shouldn’t celebrate just yet. Hang on to your hats….this isn’t Kansas anymore.

#16 SolFlaMusicLover on 08.27.08 at 9:58 am

I am voting for Barack Obama. I have seen what the Republican party really stands for over the last 8 years and this country NEEDS real change. Obama can deliver that with the help of Biden and other key democrats like Clinton, Gore, Kucinich, Richardson, etc.

We need to insure a majority in the Congress in addition to having a Democrat for president. Voting for McCain (or not voting at all) is simply sour grapes.

People who believe that Obama is too inexperienced seem to forget the tons of experience that the rest of the Democratic Party brings. A McCain Administration will do nothing to move our country into the 21st century. His Administration will be one of continuous wars, poor economic and foreign policies, and no regard to human rights, healthcare or education.

I am sure that my comment probably won’t be accepted. It appears that only the pro-PUMA position is posted here, but it’s worth a shot.

#17 obamalover on 08.27.08 at 11:59 am

the reason im voting for obama is because clearly thats what hillary wants i think next term she may become presendent but at this point she cant thats what everyone fails to realize i know all of you ppl say” No i will no vote for obama my loyalty is simply to Hillary” But thats not true if you were loyal to hillary you would follow her advice. let obama try it out one year but come election next time i’ll be here with more force than ever!

McCain/Palin got my vote. McCain didn’t snub me, but reached out by selecting Palin.

Why would I vote for Obama?
Not making Hillary the VP is going down in history as the STUPIDEST political move of all time.

#19 Junzie on 08.30.08 at 4:44 pm

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE people…..please stop and take a look at what you are contemplating doing. In your hurt and rage, you are going to the dark side and voting for the worst thing this country can’t endure anymore of….MCBUSH! You are all smarter than that. You MUST know what his lame move (Palin) was intended to do…grab all you in. But if you are true feminists and value pro-choice and gay rights then you are NOT going to be able to swallow the Palin (token)…. Come on… think about it….I am not crazy for Obama but I (we) need the democratic machine that Hillary is an integral part of…PLEASE..dont vote for McBush/Palin… Give your vote to Obama …… Thanks for your consideration.

#20 Guest on 08.30.08 at 5:08 pm

“Not making Hillary the VP is going down in history as the STUPIDEST political move of all time.”

Really because I think history will judge the people who voted for Mccain just because he had a woman for VP were the stupid ones in this election.

Why vote for Obama? Because he’s almost identical to Hillary ideologically. He DID vote for the Violence Against Women Act (Mccain didn’t and didn’t vote for equal pay).
